Description

Become the virtual hero of the 80s

The police hero who is half human and half machine, and try to bring justice to the dangerous, criminal streets of Old Detroit.

Armed with the trusty Auto-9 automatic, your years of police experience, and a vast array of tools at your disposal, you will hit the streets to combat the forces that seek to destroy the city.

You have the power to make decisions your way which will affect the game's story as you progress, but remember that corruption and greed know no bounds.

Robocop is a classic sci-fi adventure and one of Hollywood's most iconic movie franchises of all time. It was first released in 1987, and its appeal remains huge to this day.

Nacon and Teyon are collaborating with MGM to develop an authentic Robocop gaming experience that stays true to the franchise's DNA.

In the movie Robocop, when police officer Alex Murphy is fatally injured by ruthless criminals, innovative doctors are able to bring him back as an unstoppable cyborg with the purpose of fighting crime, and they give him the name "Robocop."

  • I am a big fan of RoboCop since I was a child. As I grew up, I watched the movies over and over again, so when I saw it at a good price, I bought it. I don't regret it; I finished it and enjoyed those funny dialogues as if I were watching an 80s movie again. The fact that the original actor Peter Weller, who played RoboCop in the movies, is in this game... it feels like I'm a kid again. But let's move on to some positives and negatives.

    Positives
    - RoboCop with original voice actor
    - Nice simple story
    - For fans of the old RoboCop
    - The great music from the movies
    - Simple combat system without too much complexity.

    Negatives
    - Very slow pacing even when you're supposed to be going "fast," so walking around the city to do side quests becomes a chore.
    - It's not easy to unlock the entire combat tree, so you might have to play through the story a second time if you want to try everything.
    - I would like more upgraded chips to create combinations depending on how I play

It's a shame that such games are allowed on next-gen consoles. They should be punished severely, lifelong ban from the gaming industry

Diamond in the rough. Despite everyone expecting it to be a flop like greyhill incident, not only did it prove us wrong but it has also received very good reviews so far.

3/5 because on the ps5, scenes appear frame by frame and freeze. Poorly made?? Maybe. But after half a year, they didn't release an update as if they left it to chance. Unless it's a major flaw, which I don't think it is. It works fine on other consoles. Only on the ps5, everyone complains.

It seems to have been made by people who enjoy the source material. it's campy, stays fairly true to the source material. voice acting is great! there's good humor in it, the remixes of the main theme add color to the game. graphics could have been better but I don't know if they had the people or the resources to do it.

there are a few noticeable bugs (graphical too) - I came across one soft lock where I just needed to restart from the checkpoint and it was fine. the skill tree definitely promotes a second or even a third playthrough but the pistol felt a little underpowered unless you're going with the engineering skill.

It feels like a Bethesda game really but with robocop and it's worth the full price. definitely get it if you snag it discounted.

In the 80s, when I was growing up, we used to watch Robocop and say, "What is this?" Now, they have transferred the game well to the PS5. It is mainly a shooter game, but you can also do other things. You have skills to improve and there is some occasional lag, but it is worth it for me

If you have loved the movie Robocop, this game is a dream come true!! It has exactly the feeling and atmosphere of the first movie, and something that we have been waiting for, a proper Robocop game for years. In terms of gameplay, by today's standards, it might be a bit outdated, but that's exactly what we wanted, an old school game for the hero we loved.

One for the thief, two for the thief, three and the... good day is proven by RoboCop: Rogue City for Teyon and so, after the tragedies called Rambo: The Video Game and Terminator: Resistance, it managed to offer us a decent proposal for our beloved RoboCop, even if it screams everywhere that it is an AA production. The older ones can invest fearlessly, while the younger ones can take it as an opportunity to watch the movies and get to know a classic favorite franchise.

We grew up with Robocop when it started, especially with this music you just get chills and say what a great game it is. Unfortunately, after a while, like almost every game that comes out, it gets boring, as if they got tired of dealing with it more... With such a history that the name ROBOCOP has, we expected more, not to mention the graphics and fps drop

Maybe the 5 stars are due to fanboyism, but it remains one of the most entertaining games I have played in the last 2 years. My only complaint is that in the game, Robocop's famous gun, the Auto9, doesn't have exactly the same gunshot sound as in the movies. Other than that, you walk around and hear the "gn-doup gn-doup" sound, and you kill the "bad guys" through the eyes of the famous hero, while also having some RPG elements. Especially for fans of the franchise, don't think twice, get it blindly. For the rest, read the reviews or watch a playthrough video and decide if it interests you.

True to the source material with awesome gameplay loop, stunning graphics, music inspired by Basil Poledouris' original soundtrack, a long duration of around 21 hours of story and side missions, and an unforgettable ending that could easily stand as a sequel to Robocop 2. Even if you're not a fan of Robocop, purchasing it is a must. Teyon, after the mediocre to good Terminator Resistance, returns with their magnum opus, Robocop Rogue City. I can't wait to see which 80s franchise will be next in line!
