It is also a camera with excellent ergonomics and advanced features such as the ability to record in multiple codecs (4K UHD & Full HD XAVC S, AVCHD, DV) to be instantly compatible with any workflow scenario, and the ability to automatically send files to an FTP server or live stream via the built-in Wi-Fi adapter.

The PXW-Z150 features the first stacked 1-inch CMOS sensor. Due to the sensor's double reading speed compared to any conventional 1-inch sensor, the Z150 allows for continuous slow motion 5x/120fps Full HD video capture and 4K video recording with full sensor readout. At the same time, due to its larger sensor size compared to classic cameras with 1/3'' sensors, the PXW-Z150 offers increased dynamic range, greater sensitivity, and more pronounced bokeh effect.

The PXW-Z150 records in a wide variety of formats, so you can be compatible with the needs of any production. It allows you to record XAVC QFHD material (3840 x 2160) @29.97p, 25p, 23.98p 100Mbps/60Mbps on SDXC cards and XAVC S 1920 x 1080 50p/60p/50i/60i/30p/25p/24p at 50 Mbps. Additionally, you can record AVCHD 1920 x 1080 and 1280 x 720, as well as high-quality Standard Definition DV.

The PXW-Z150 has the amazing ability to continuously record 5x/120fps footage in Full HD resolution without sacrificing image quality (bit depth and resolution) and without cropping the sensor.

The PXW-Z150 is equipped with a high-quality and versatile lens with 12x optical zoom (f = 29.0 - 348.0 equivalent to 35mm). The lens zoom capability increases to 18x in 4K QFHD resolution and 24x in HD resolution without any loss of quality thanks to Pixel Super Resolution technology (2x Clear Image Zoom). Additionally, the lens features three independent rings for comfortable and precise adjustment of zoom, aperture, and focus.

The PXW-Z150 allows for automatic file transfer to an FTP server or live streaming via the built-in Wi-Fi adapter. Thanks to QoS technology, the Z150 enables the transmission of high-quality images over existing internet infrastructure.

The PXW-Z150 can be controlled via Wi-Fi connection from Tablets and Smartphones. For Tablets/Smartphones that support NFC function, the connection with your camera can be made with a single touch.

The PXW-Z150 allows simultaneous independent recording on 2 memory cards. Practically, it gives you the ability to have top reliability in data recording on an economical recording medium (SDHC/SDXC/MS) without any additional investment. Additionally, you can use the 2 cards for long time recording (Relay).

By pressing MI, you can connect a variety of genuine compatible Sony accessories (e.g. UWP-D11 or UWP-D12 wireless microphone sets) to the PXW-Z150 without the need for additional connection cables.
