Description

The new map of Parnassus is available in a scale of 1:35,000 and combines the advantages of the two previous parallel editions, 1:25,000 and 1:50,000, which are now abolished.

No matter how far back one goes in the past, Parnassus has always been one of the most iconic mountains in Greece.

The Oracle of Delphi, the Corycian Cave, the remains of the fortifications of Lilaea or Tithorea, the inn of Gravia, the cave of Andritsos, are some of the landmarks of the important history of this place.

From the cosmopolitan Arachova to the solitary paths of Western Parnassus, many and sometimes conflicting worlds make up the mountainous whole of Parnassus.

Its proximity to the capital and the variety of activities it offers make it particularly popular, even for day trips.

It is the mountain of skiing, but also of long hiking trails, even by bike or trail running. Moreover, since 2008, the mountain race "Path of Parnassus" has been organized in Amphikleia, while as soon as the snow melts, the ski slopes become cycling routes.

In an effort to preserve its unique landscape, it was declared a National Park in 1938, the second oldest after Mount Olympus.
