The phone is very good for its price, good sound, good keyboard, without needing batteries, with 10 memories with buttons on the phone and I think another 10 memories (I haven't used them yet) for the phonebook. One issue is that I haven't found the volume adjustment in the handset yet (other simpler Alcatel phones do it with a button, for example the temporis 180), it may exist, I'm not sure, I couldn't find it. Also, there is some feedback when I lower the handset, I don't know why it happens, but I don't really care. Also, the screen brightness is low. For the work I need it for, none of these things bother me. Simple phone with few memories. A good simple solution. I had an Alcatel at work, that's why I bought one for home too. I am satisfied.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the cause of the interruptions during conversations and the complete loss of sound when another device is connected. After ruling out all other possible causes - wiring, telephone line, filter - I concluded that the device is to blame. I do not recommend it.

During the conversation, it keeps disconnecting and it is very annoying. I changed the filter but still the same. When I realized the problem, I couldn't return it to the store where I bought it because the 14-day return period had passed and the warranty didn't apply since the problem was not present at the store's service. It is possible that there are interruptions because it doesn't take batteries and our line has become broadband. Another model of Alcatel that operates with batteries on the same line has no problem.

Indeed, the screen goes black during calls, it does not have the best clarity, and the buttons are somewhat unclear when pressed...

From the first day I got it, it kept disconnecting during calls as if it had no power. I tried changing every filter available on the market, but the problem wasn't fixed...
I contacted the dealership and they told me that it's my phone line's fault and that it happens occasionally! It's a shame because as a device, it is beautiful and has good sound quality...

Very good phone and I didn't expect it to impress me, considering I have tried many others.
    Pros:
    - Works WITHOUT BATTERIES. This is the main reason to get it. It doesn't need or take batteries. You plug it in and it "turns on". If it gets unplugged, it turns off, but if you plug it back in, everything is still there (memories and logs are not lost). The most annoying thing about other phones of this type is that you need batteries every month or so (3-4). It's worth it just for this.
    - Greek menu and comfortable 3-line display with a dot matrix (adjustable contrast)
    - 8 direct + 10 indirect memories. You can even write a name so that it appears when the number calls you, but in Latin characters (it doesn't have Greek letters for memories). The direct memories are very convenient.
    - 70 incoming and 25 outgoing logs (the specs say 30/5 but it's more)
    - Nice clear sound (good speaker and microphone) and speakerphone
    - Very good/quality construction and plastic materials
    - Good button feel (hard plastic, not rubber) although a bit hard to press
    - Compact (relatively) for a phone with direct memories
    - 3 volume levels for the ringer (off, medium, high)

    Cons:
    - I would like more memories and a search function, but it doesn't have it and it's not necessary for 10 memories + 8 direct ones
    - Some may find the handset a bit "short" for larger faces, but it's not a big deal.
    - Non-illuminated display and keys (only a small light on the top right when it rings). Understandable for the price range.
    - One ringtone, but it's classic and pleasant (acceptable).

Pay attention to the DSL filter that you use in front of it, if it's not of good quality it may cause issues (it doesn't work correctly because something interferes with the voltage of the line and blocks it as it draws current from the line). I experienced this with one that I tried (the phone would turn off every few seconds) until I replaced it with another filter and everything was fine.

    UPDATE 24-10-2018
I'm removing one star to talk about my experience with the issue of interruptions and beeps.

This device draws power from the network. This means that there may be issues, mainly with weak phone lines that don't have enough power (far from the central office, long cable extensions, multiple devices connected simultaneously). In this case, the phone presents the following problem. While you're talking at regular intervals (e.g. every 0.5 - 1 minute), there is a gap in the other person's voice (interruption) and a beep is heard. This is the moment when the power is not sufficient, it momentarily turns off and back on, but the "interruption" and beep have already occurred and it's annoying.

In my case, in 3 houses where we tried it (3 devices on wind/wind/fortnet), all 3 had the same problem with the first filter. In one house where we tried it in 2 positions, one close and one far from the main phone socket, we were able to make it work correctly only in the close position. In the far position where there was a 20-meter cable from the main socket (resulting in power loss due to the fact that there are 3 phones in the house), no matter what filter we used, it didn't work properly. This means that it didn't have enough "power". In the end, we left it in the close position where it has been working until today. In the other house, the problem remains but it occurs relatively rarely (1 beep every 1.5 to 2 minutes), which makes it less annoying.

Another issue that arose and may not be related to the provider (identification encoding) and/or the filter (which cuts off the digital signal by cutting off the "digital" interference of ADSL) is that in call identification it started to not always display the caller's number correctly, but some digits of it (the 10 digits are not displayed either). I didn't really deal with the issue, but it happens.

Therefore, whoever wants to get it should know that it may not work properly depending on the power of their lines. I believe (without having tried) that with a telephone center like the integrated one of the VoIP router ZTE provided by OTE for the new "digital" VoIP lines, it will not have an issue as it is without a "filter" close to the "center" (the router that is). On the other hand, I'm not sure as I don't have a network with OTE.

Good phone, with the (important for me) disadvantage of poor screen contrast-reading.
