Unacceptable vacuum cleaner for BOSCH. After 1 year of use, the battery lasts for 10 minutes and permanently stays on one line. The replacement is as good as getting a new vacuum cleaner. Stay away.
The worst purchase I have ever made in my life!!!!
In less than 1 year, the vacuum cleaner completely broke down (it didn't suck anything), but because it was still under warranty, BOSCH replaced it with their most modern model.
One year later (and with minimal use of the new model), the lithium battery broke and the cost of repair is the same as buying a new vacuum cleaner!!!
The response from BOSCH's service is that there is no two-year warranty for the new model they sent me a year ago!!!! The warranty expires within the two years of my initial purchase, despite the replacement being made with their "new advanced model". SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!
I don't think I will ever buy any BOSCH product again in my life after this experience!
I bought this vacuum cleaner about 3 years ago, completely satisfied with it, which is why I also bought it for my father. Unfortunately, just after the warranty expired, the circuit board and battery broke. The cost of the damage is almost equal to the purchase price.
I have had the vacuum cleaner for almost three years. Recently, the lithium battery died and the replacement costs 160 euros.. plus labor, 200 euros in total. I bought it for 270 euros.. The company's policy is unacceptable. You don't buy a vacuum cleaner for 270 euros for 3 years.. Ridiculous.
In terms of performance and cleaning, it is fantastic. Very powerful, it makes your life easier.
If you don't know how to change the batteries by yourself, there is a related video on YouTube, but it's not that easy, I wouldn't recommend it, nor other models with the same battery practice. There are some models where the battery can be removed and replaced, and they are relatively cheap, around 60-80 euros, but those vacuums are 18 volts and not 25 like this one, and they won't have a strong suction power.
I am also including the YouTube video for those who have the knowledge and skill to change the batteries on their own or with the help of an electronic technician.

The worst thing, do not prefer it, lifespan 1 year, that's how long it lasted for me and from the comments I read max 2 years if you do everything by the book, except for the battery, after 1 and a half year it started spitting out the dirt as soon as I stopped vacuuming. It's not worth its money in any case.
As a vacuum cleaner, it is very good and indeed the battery lasts quite a long time at first. The issue is that after 2 years, as soon as the warranty expired, the battery started having problems. It now doesn't last more than 12 minutes. The cost of a replacement battery is 160 euros because it comes with the vacuum's circuit board, but of course it's not worth it because you can find a new one for around 200 euros. I should also mention that there was no excessive charging, as we were aware of the battery issues when we purchased it, but even with caution, a problem arose. Could it have been faulty? Even an older model presents the exact same problems... I wouldn't buy it again, on the contrary, I would prefer one with a removable battery which, when it breaks (it's just a battery), you can find a replacement for 30-50 euros. It's just a shame because you choose to spend some extra money for a product with Bosch's quality and it doesn't live up to your expectations.
The worst thing that exists.
A vacuum cleaner worth 400 euros cannot hold the battery for 2 years
and from the first time, it keeps having some little problems
I have had the vacuum cleaner for more than two years. While it was new, it really worked wonders and cleaned bins, filters, etc. with meticulousness. However, the performance of the vacuum cleaner has drastically declined since the first trimester. It doesn't suck as strongly, and for a vacuum cleaner that I bought for 269 euros, I definitely expected something more.
The battery is satisfactory.
It is too bulky to fit under sofas, beds.
A few days ago, the vacuum cleaner simply gave up. The service informed me that the batteries died along with the circuit board. The cost of the damage is 110 euros.
I will buy a new one and stay away.
What a shame.
After 4 years of owning it, I have to say the following:
I bought it for around 400 euros and it is the worst purchase I have ever made...
1) The battery life of the vacuum cleaner, even when always used at max, has reached the point where it can no longer clean an entire room. (*I use the vacuum cleaner at least once a day) If I charge it to full, unplug it, and leave it in storage for a day, the next day it will only have one bar left, and after a week it will be completely discharged. In other words, the battery does not hold at all, and it constantly needs to be plugged in.
2) The plastic parts that protrude (and need to be pressed to detach the attachments) from the main body of the vacuum cleaner are terrible. I mainly bought the vacuum cleaner because I have a husky and the included attachments seemed really nice. I liked the idea that it can also be used to clean your car by hanging it. But it's a nightmare to detach and attach them since these plastic parts are extremely inflexible. After 6-7 times of doing it, the bottom part broke, resulting in it no longer holding together, and when you lift it off the floor, it falls apart. The vacuum cleaner now shakes completely, and it can no longer be used as a hanging one.
Conclusion: If you want to spend money on something that is high-quality, sturdy (but not heavy), that won't have battery issues, and will last for years, I'm sorry to say but this is not what you are looking for.
I bought this particular model but returned it after 2 days. The reason is that it is heavy to use/roll on carpets and rugs. Especially on the second staircase where the brush is activated. Although it is of very good quality (no comparison to an AEG stick that I also have), it ultimately is a less flexible machine for everyday and quick use. Also, two disadvantages that I find significant at this price: - It does not have a charging base (the cable hangs or you have to secure it somewhere) - It does not have a front LED to see what you are vacuuming. Trust me, it makes a difference.
We bought it on Black Friday for 199 and it is definitely worth every penny, it has replaced our traditional vacuum cleaner.
We have 3 cats and in the first few days of using the vacuum, we realized how much hair they leave on a daily basis. Now it is much easier and practical to do a quick 5-10 minute sweep with this vacuum rather than taking out the traditional one with the cord.
The downside is its weight, which is noticeable when using it on carpets. I can't say I was thrilled with the change of the attachment for shoulder strap use, but it's not something you would do often. However, it still does its job there as well, as you can easily clean your car now.
I bought this vacuum cleaner a year and a half ago because I have two cats and I need it to collect their hair, everything is fine so far!!! It works well for everyday use, but if you want to clean sofas and under the beds and furniture, it doesn't fit. Also, if the house is very big with carpets and such, the battery doesn't last, and finally, the most important thing is that it is very heavy and the service from Bosch is terrible!! It broke an internal plastic part of the vacuum cleaner on the top because that's where all the weight is, and they told me that it's not covered by the warranty and that I broke it myself!!!!!!!!!! It's not worth the money for any reason!!!!!!!!!!!!
Acquired a week ago. And at the 1st speed, it cleans very well and collects everything from marble, tiles, and parquet. On the balcony, we have laid synthetic grass for the child with a low profile. It also collects from there any debris without difficulty. In rare cases where the debris gets tangled in the grass, I switch to the 2nd speed where the rotating brush of the vacuum is activated. I haven't found a reason to use the 3rd speed (turbo as it is referred to).
It is easy to empty the bin and clean the brush on the foot.
It comes with rich equipment which, of course, is not stored on the vacuum.
It is the first battery-powered vacuum I have bought. I was skeptical about whether a battery-powered vacuum has enough power to clean a 100 sqm house. Now I regret all those years struggling with the electric vacuum.
With the electric vacuum, you would vacuum and if by chance the air blew out a piece of debris under the couch, you would ignore it and leave it until the next time (a week for me) when I would vacuum. Now, every now and then, I grab the battery-powered vacuum and collect whatever appears (probably justified, my wife calls me compulsive).
After 2 years of use, I have to say the following. Firstly, it is understood that it is not suitable as a primary vacuum cleaner, it is for daily household maintenance, just a quick sweep. Also, because I changed the battery before the warranty expired, I was informed that for the battery's health, the vacuum cleaner should be permanently plugged in, I should do a quick sweep and then put it back on charge because that's how lithium batteries work, meaning it should not be completely drained during use but kept permanently charged. Emptying the dustbin is easy but it definitely doesn't hold the dust as well as a vacuum cleaner with a bag. In short, I bought a Miele cat & dog vacuum cleaner which is amazing as my primary one and kept the Bosch for everyday cleaning, for the things my mother-in-law sees.
For quick cleaning and floor restoration from crumbs etc. it is ideal. It does not replace the regular vacuum cleaner as it does not fit under furniture/buffets/beds/sofas. It is for daily use.
*Update after 2.5 years of use. I clean almost every day the basic areas of the kitchen, hallway etc. and maybe once a week the whole house. The battery still holds up, it has not shown any serious loss yet. What I read about the garbage spitting out and needing to clean the bottom part well (the sole comes out) and the tube and empty the bin well. At first it just vacuumed and now I only put it on 2!
*Update 2 After 4 years of use. The vacuum no longer picks up all the small crumbs and they stay inside the sole, the battery now has much less performance, but the main issue is that it seems to no longer suck or at least sucks very little. It needs to be thrown away and it's a shame for a vacuum cleaner that costs 250 euros+ to be thrown away so soon. And for the protection of the environment we live in, objects we buy should have a longer lifespan.
Excellent vacuum cleaner for everyday use, especially if there are small children in the house.
We have it permanently in the kitchen and in 2-3 minutes of daily use, the space is clean again!
When I bought this vacuum cleaner for my daughter, I wondered how I lived before without this specific cordless and powerful vacuum cleaner. I clean carpets easily. In 8 minutes, I clean the whole 98 sq.m. house. Anyone who has a baby must buy it.
So I have had it for about a year and I use it almost every day. I have a dog that sheds a lot, which is the reason I bought the vacuum cleaner. Without many words, this vacuum cleaner is one of the best purchases I have made.
Positives:
- It sucks everything very strongly, the most important thing being on carpets (careful not to have loose threads because it sucks them and the vacuum cleaner gets stuck and the thread gets damaged)
- Emptying the bin is easy to the point of being ridiculous, 1 minute without any contact with hair or anything related.
- You can store it wherever you want, under the bed, behind the door...
- Good battery life, depending on usage of course. For the floor, I use it on level 1 and on carpets on level 2. I don't think level 3 is necessary since level 2 is super. I clean a 60 sq.m. house twice and then I charge it.
- Easy to use, I grab it, clean in 5 minutes, and that's it.
Negatives:
- It requires strength to control it, my wife, for example, doesn't find it convenient because it is a bit heavy (I hope she is not saying this as an excuse for me to do the cleaning...). Also, it requires more strength on carpets, but this shows how well it sucks.
A purchase with closed eyes, especially if you have a pet.
I would prefer it to be lighter. It needs a bit more power because it sometimes gets stuck. Also, the battery doesn't last long, it needs to be charged every 2 days. The house is 100 square meters.
The positives are that it cleans quite well. It also cleans the carpets well.
If you buy it, you will understand how useful it is. It will completely replace your conventional vacuum cleaner. I have had it for about 2 to 3 months. It has been a lifesaver for us with 2 kids in the house, where frequent cleaning is required. It does an amazing job on both carpets and tiles!
It is an amazing vacuum cleaner. With a very powerful motor. You can easily clean a three-story house if you organize your days and don't want to do it all at once. Suitable for stairs, which are generally difficult and dangerous to clean with a conventional vacuum cleaner due to its cord.
It does not fit under the beds. It is difficult to change its components. Minimal battery life. It is like a big handheld vacuum cleaner. I do not recommend it, especially for large houses.
I have it for about 6 months. It's amazing! It's very powerful and very absorbent for carpets. I have a dog at home, so you understand that it has saved my hands! I have untangled the cables! The battery lasts quite a long time. Emptying the bin requires washing the filters for it to suck effectively. Its price is a bit discouraging, I would say. But the reason was the gift voucher from the electronics store worth 150€, please! I highly recommend it without reservation!
I bought it because of my allergies to the cats in the house and in general to the dust, and because I wanted to clean my car by myself. Well, not only does it do that, but it also replaced my regular vacuum cleaner and my girlfriend loves it. The bin fills up quickly, but that also means it's doing its job. While my girlfriend had cleaned the house with a new Samsung vacuum cleaner worth 80 euros, I put the Bosch Animal Pro on top and it filled up half a bin. You will be surprised too, so confidently choose it if you have the money and need it like I do. The battery lasts comfortably for a 150 sqm house with proper use, meaning the first level works on tiles, floor, the second on carpet, and the third, which is turbo mode, only on stubborn areas. I charge it every other day.
*update 16/11/18: After almost two years of daily use, I am still satisfied. Of course, the battery has lost about 30%, but it still does its job. It will definitely need a battery replacement in the future, which is difficult and costly if you turn to Bosch.
Update 31/10/21: Unfortunately, the batteries lost their durability six months ago. If there was an easy way to replace them, it would be perfect. I changed them myself, which was very difficult and cost me 35 euros. After a few months, it stopped working.
