From Paris I found myself in Gkizi with the suitcases, the turtles with their shells and a two-bedroom penthouse with giant common areas and a shitty balcony, full of pigeons. The journey of discovery began that first night. "I'm hungry; souvlaki" I thought and took to the streets to find something to eat. Somehow, out of the need to settle into my new life, I started a journey in the city that has been holding for years now. I have been everywhere, but there is no second Athens.

It's like someone has claimed the rights, and we only have the copyrights. Green double-faced awnings with banana leaves, kiosks, yellow taxis, green fences, neon studios, light bulbs with balconies opposite, solar water heaters, epic fifty-fifty entrances, useless wooden doorman booths, everywhere jasmine and bougainvillea, strays and oranges.

That's why I like Athens and I love living here. In the most colorful capital of the West.
