What can I say... Citizen Promaster Eco-Drive.
What does Eco-Drive mean? It has a battery inside that charges from sunlight and more. (I won't mention the accuracy in time, obviously it's 100% perfect.)
From many reviews and feedback on the internet, they say it can be used for 10-15 years without needing any service. (Even if it lasts half that time, it's still amazing.)
The strap is beautiful, with a slightly higher hardness than desired (for me).
As soon as I bought it, I ordered 5-6 "Strap Nato 20mm" in different colors from an international website. This way, I can wear it for exercise, work, coffee, restaurants, etc. (If skroutz allows me, I will upload photos during the week for you to get ideas.)
At around €200, it's a piece worth having for someone who wants something beautiful, reliable, and from a brand with a nice philosophy.

The only negative is that it did not come in an oxygen bottle packaging and that the depths and decompression hours are not indicated on the strap. The watch is awesome and it is Eco Drive, it charges from all light sources and not just from the sun (see Seiko, which is also considerably more expensive...)
Impressive in appearance, beautiful, at a very good price, it has gathered the best reviews from experts. For my wrist (17 cm) I consider it the perfect size. It is quite sturdy, made of stainless steel, but lightweight in the hand, so it doesn't tire you. The strap is a bit tight at first, but it will take the shape of your wrist and won't bother you. If you don't have patience, there are techniques where you soak the strap for 5 minutes in very hot water (without the watch of course), slightly curved to match the curve of your wrist, and then it fits perfectly.
An important detail, although in the photos the diving table with the depths and "zero" decompression times appears on the strap, the watch I received doesn't have it. At first, I wanted to complain, but I eventually realized that I prefer it this way (those tables are useless with dive computers) and it also reduces the "seriousness" of the watch.
The dial is clear, with thick hands, very readable (the red second hand makes all the difference), which is very important for us presbyopic people, especially at night with their intense luminescence.
The Eco-Drive mechanism is well-known and tested. You forget about winding, battery changes, opening the back, etc. You expose it to the sun for 5-6 hours and you're charged for the next six months!
The bezel is quite good and tight with 60 steps in its rotation. It moves slightly up/down when pressed, but it doesn't cause any concern.
The crown that adjusts the time requires a little attention because it is quite tight. I thought I had screwed it completely, but it needed one more turn. Fortunately, it didn't get into the water!
As for the date, if you have a little presbyopia, forget about it, it's like it doesn't exist. It's a miniature and deeply embedded in its compartment, you need to shine the light directly on it to see it. One more reason not to adjust it during the missing months :)
For accuracy, I will know in 2-3 months, for now, after 96 hours, it hasn't lost a single second.
The stiff plastic strap lets it down. Perhaps if they had put a silicone or decent NATO strap on, it might be better. It is a good looking watch and the lume is great.

Very beautiful on the wrist. Eco drive mechanism which requires light to start functioning at first contact, due to prior storage.
Then it operates for a period of time in safe mode (two seconds at a time), until it is sufficiently charged, preferably by solar light for faster charging.
The strap seems very high quality and comfortable, unlike some other reviewers.
The crown was very tight and required some force to unscrew. No problem though.
I believe it is a very good purchase at 170 euros.
A wonderful watch. Very high accuracy, sturdy strap, highly durable crystal, comfortable on the wrist, and waterproof up to 3 meters as I tested. The battery charging from light sources, mainly the sun, even for a few minutes every day, is a very positive feature. I bought it on 6/6/2022 and until today (25/11/2022), I have no reason to take it off my wrist.
Update 29/05/2023: It "loses" about a minute every year.
Update 3/7/2024: It is very important to leave it exposed to a light source every day, ideally in the sun, even with clouds, for as long as possible.
Extremely well-crafted and sturdy, this diving-style watch has remained scratch-free despite being in my "careless" hands for the past 3+ years! Furthermore, I believe it will harmoniously fit most wrists (excluding very large ones) as it appears closer to 41-42mm. Its screw-down crown is reliable and secure, the luminescence is impressive and long-lasting, and the strap, which generally receives mixed reviews, is exactly what it should be, at least in my opinion! In terms of timekeeping, it functions simply like any serious battery-powered watch that respects itself (mine gains 2-3 seconds per month), with the difference being that this particular watch charges from the sun, eliminating the worry of battery changes. In conclusion, if you don't subject it to hot baths that could distort the internal gaskets and compromise its waterproofing, I believe you will enjoy this watch for many years to come! At €170, a watch with these features is simply a "steal."
Nice watch but I expected the strap to be better.
Relatively comfortable on the wrist, the rubber strap is quite rigid but you don't feel it particularly in your hand after 5-6 days when it starts to take shape. It doesn't appear particularly large in diameter despite being 44mm, it is perhaps a bit thick, but obviously this is also related to its certification for 200m depth. The blue color is discreet, not at all flashy, rather happier than the black one that I initially thought of buying. The crystal is very clear, and the dial is very legible, the hands align perfectly with the peripheral indicators and the date is well visible without taking up too much space. Very strong luminescence in the dark (obviously within the context of its diving nature). The finish is brushed steel which looks very nice, the bezel rotates easily without any play as it clicks from position to position (full rotation in 60 steps). Overall, it looks and feels more high-quality than the 168 euros it cost, and I don't see a noticeable difference from the 500 euro Seiko Sportura SPC003 that I had and was stolen (hence the purchase of the Citizen as an economical choice for everyday use).
Where to start with this watch? Extremely accurate time, the blue color that I have is very nice for all occasions, the lume outshines all other watches on the market, and the ecodrive is the best battery mechanism - solar... If it had a sapphire instead of mineral crystal (which is a bit logical for its price) and the strap with the well-known nd limits indicators that made it stand out, it would be the perfect watch. Purchased for 160 euros... Value for money...
I have it for three months, it has incredible accuracy, excellent phosphorescence that lasts all night. The crystal is made of mineral with special hardening, scratch-resistant, and they call it Hardlex, which is equally durable as sapphire crystal. Update: after a year or so, it runs 20 to 30 seconds fast per day, take it with your eyes closed
Simply incredible value for money at 155 that I got it. Everything that previous reviewers have said is true. I have nothing to add.
For its price, it is an excellent choice. I also added a NATO strap to it and it elevated its appearance. Incredibly lightweight, it doesn't lose a second.
Excellent for its price, great durability in underwater dives, the crystal and bezel do not easily scratch, and the blue phosphorescent hands and numbers show perfectly in the dark for a long time. Finally, the ability to charge from solar or artificial light without needing a battery for twenty years is amazing.
I wanted a watch that simply shows the time (without many other features like barometers, altimeters, etc.), to be waterproof so that I don't have to take it off in the shower, sea, etc., and to not need to change batteries or adjust it frequently. It is exactly what I wanted, and if it had a slightly larger window for the date or had a magnifying lens, it would be perfect for me. It is more accurate in time and I consider its price to be fair.
A few words... simply an amazing watch for every occasion, much more beautiful up close, it doesn't lose a second and it's worth every last euro!
Definitely the best diving watch for its price. It doesn't lose a single second. Eco-drive mechanism with diver's 200m certification! Beautiful, reliable, unbeatable. It can be compared to much more expensive models for its features and still comes out on top! I've had it for two years and it hasn't had any issues. Not to mention how much water it has been exposed to... I highly recommend it! There is no competitor at this price.

Readable and very comfortable on the wrist.
Despite the specifications on paper, it wears "small" on the wrist, especially suitable for thin wrists.
Sturdy construction, nice details on the bezel, case back, and the lume is wonderful!
It is as beautiful and well-made as the Seiko Sumo that I have for €650, without having to deal with automatic mechanisms, adjustments, time loss, and other issues.
As for the strap, I won't say much about it. It felt uncomfortable at first, but since I play around with about 20 NATO straps, I'm not really interested in it anyway.
Overall, for anyone interested in a tool watch, a good diver, without breaking the bank, this is the watch.
- The only negative thing I have is not about the watch but the packaging. I was really looking forward to the classic Citizen bottle, but it came in a box...
September 19, 2021 As another gentleman mentioned below, it doesn't lose a second even with a dive! I really like how it sits on the wrist. In the 26-27 years that I have been wearing watches, it is the only one that hasn't come off my wrist, even during sleep (I only take it off to change straps!)
Extremely readable and the brightness and duration of the hands' luminosity are amazing as soon as it gets a little light. With so much sunlight it has absorbed, it won't need a charge for 2 and a half lifetimes...
Happy owner of the watch for a day now, extremely sturdy at an amazing price of 158 euros, it has exactly what I need. I can't wait to try it out on a diving expedition, it's the ultimate value for money. The eco drive mechanism convinced me to choose it, despite some initial concerns, which were dispelled when I learned how it works.
Extremely readable, very expensive, nice feel on the wrist, amazing brightness and intensity in the dark, even after a short exposure to light. The blue dial with the corresponding strap makes it very distinctive. The ECO-Drive mechanism is truly useful. Great value for the money - I bought it in August for 190 euros, now it is available at an even lower price.
First time Citizen and eco drive, as well as first time diving type, but always with a preference for bulky and heavy watches in which, however, this particular model for no reason can be included despite its imposing presence.
When a relatively wide bezel (good hour) "closes" slightly towards the center, deviating from the level of the case, the useful surface of the dial is essentially limited, deceiving us to such an extent that it is really hard to believe that this watch is larger than 42mm. (illusion or not, it doesn't matter) So, both for those with thin wrists and for those "used to small watches" 36-40mm (I don't write it ironically) who want to try something different, as long as they like it design-wise, it simply "hits the spot". Before I finish with this topic, I will only mention that compared side by side with my 45mm "almost bezelless" automatic chronograph, the Oris watch seems SIGNIFICANTLY larger in relation to the one described, even though the difference between them is only 1mm!
Moving on, we have:
-An eco-friendly "self-charging" mechanism of exceptional accuracy (it doesn't lose seconds even with a magnifying glass), which we won't have to deal with at all, at least until the capacitor "runs out". In other words, after many many years!
-The screw-down crown will secure well on the stainless steel case, always ending up in the same position.
-The rotating bezel is tight enough and with zero play.
-Impressive long-lasting blue-green luminescence. A few seconds with the flashlight of a mobile phone and we're good for several hours!
-As for power reserves or autonomy, I don't know and I don't really care since I never take it off my wrist, not even during sleep. However, I have heard that it "holds up well"!
-Waterproof up to 20atm certified "divers", OK, but I don't dive myself, so apart from the sense of security it provides me in a regular swim in the sea, I don't have an opinion.
-Finally, a mineral scratch-resistant crystal of high durability and not sapphire, of course, since we will encounter that type of crystal in models priced at 400€+ and still not in all of them. A brief research on your part will convince even the most skeptical, at least regarding this!
-In my opinion, all of the above, combined with its highly enticing price, create the image of an economical yet almost excellent, sturdy, easy-to-wear, and well-crafted everyday watch that, without drawing attention, will be liked not only by its owner but most likely by anyone who happens to see it!
It is the most value for money diving watch. Incredible durability, accuracy, and brightness of the hands, and especially thin for its category. The comfort when wearing it is not so good due to the hard material of its strap. By changing it to a NATO strap, the comfort of wearing it skyrocketed.
