In about a minute, you get a fairly accurate measurement of +-0.2, I would say.

I had thrown money on a pile of thermometers, this despite the fact that it had the lowest price gave more accurate measurements (compared to mercury thermometers).
IMPORTANT: Leave it under your armpit for 1 minute, do not remove it when it beeps. It usually beeps in 20 seconds, unless you have a fever which delays it longer.

At first, the screen didn't look good (very faint) and I thought the battery was the problem, but my husband, who is an electronics expert, opened it and saw that there was salt between the battery and the circuit board. He cleaned it and then it displayed normally, although the battery that was measured wasn't full.
We did some tests and saw that the measurements were: 36.3 - 35.9 - 36.4 & 36.4.
Because I want it for our soon-to-be-born baby, I am not pleased with the 0.5°C deviation in the measurements.
For the money, you can't say much, of course
