What is inside the box: 2 speakers, 1 RCA-RCA cable, 1 RCA-3.5mm jack cable, cable for connecting the two speakers, and a remote control.
The RCA cables seem to be of good quality, slightly gold-plated (not worth 50 cents). I haven't used them yet.
The cable for connecting the two speakers is long, suitable for a desk and maybe even for a large piece of furniture like a TV or corners of a 3-4 meter room.
The remote control seemed childish to me, I didn't even open it because the speakers are on the desk and I can reach them with my hand.
Heavy and sturdy construction, made of good quality MDF and vinyl surface (in white color for these specific ones) without gaps or creaks when touched. The vinyl seems to easily leave marks and tears... But because it is white, it can also be easily fixed. Their design makes them stand out as they don't have the typical rectangular shape of most speakers. They have a slight upward inclination towards the listener's face. The switches are nicely placed on the side in a discreet position that doesn't obstruct.
They connected without any problems to my devices via Bluetooth and that's how I use them (PC and Android). They can only be connected to one device at a time via Bluetooth. So if you switch from one device to another, you have to disconnect the first one and connect to the next one. The switch is very fast after the first time a device is connected to the speakers and I haven't had any problems with my devices. I notice a slight delay in sound compared to the image, around 1-2 tenths of a second, which is barely noticeable but it's there.
With this type of connection, the maximum volume is quite high and practically no one would use it systematically, especially if it is at a 1-meter distance like on a desk. Even at high volumes, the sound doesn't distort, doesn't produce noise, and you don't lose anything from the audio spectrum. In other words, the volume increases uniformly for all tones and nothing is lost, as often happens with cheap speakers where everything sounds muffled at higher volumes.
Sound quality: The overall impression is that they have a warm sound with good bass for their size, but there is a slight drop in the audio spectrum at 700 to 1500Hz and at 3000Hz (red line in the graph). This drop falls within the range of speech (500-8000Hz with the main range being 2-4kHz) and especially the lowest in some vocal sounds (the sound of each phoneme doesn't fall at the same point in the audio spectrum). The result is that the speakers are not completely neutral in speech. When you listen to music and speech together (e.g. a song with vocals), the voice may sound slightly muffled or slightly shifted towards the back, at a lower volume than expected if you know the song. This issue cannot be corrected with the treble control on the speakers, but I'm sure that with an equalizer program, the speakers will become more neutral.
The speakers have excellent separation between the right and left channels in stereo sound, and each sound is crystal clear - there is no bleaching (leakage of a frequency to neighboring ones) or retention (the sound sounding like a tiny echo after it stops). Except for the aforementioned issues with speech, the sounds come out exactly where they should be - not too forward or recessed in the background. With a small distance between the speakers, you have the feeling that the sound is coming from the center of the screen and not from the two speakers on the sides - in other words, they are extremely balanced. Even at low volumes, they have great detail in the music and someone will definitely hear sounds that they haven't heard with other speakers. I haven't heard any noise or distortion from these speakers (like what happens with burnt-out speakers or those pushed to their limits). The sound is extremely clear and detailed.
They don't have an automatic/passive standby mode, which means that if, for example, you set a timer on Spotify, the speakers will remain active after the music ends if you don't turn them off with the remote control or switch. But they are COMPLETELY and ABSOLUTELY silent when not playing music. I emphasize this because it's the first time I've heard absolute silence from active speakers. You have to put your ear next to the speaker to see if there is any background noise when there is no music playing, even when the volume is at maximum with the switch. The result is that they don't bother you at all when not playing music (although they are expected to have some power consumption of about 1-2 watts). You simply can't tell if they are on or off unless you look at their indicator light, even if you stand next to them.
Pros:
+good and decent quality construction for their category
+nice design with a slight upward tilt towards the listener. The design, apart from being ergonomic, definitely stands out from most speakers at first glance, and you don't need stands on the desk since the speakers are directed correctly towards the listener.
+very good warm sound for music, especially organic (guitar, piano) even at high volumes
+detailed and clear sound at all volumes and most frequencies
+very good sound separation and at the same time extremely balanced between the speakers
+decent and balanced bass
+nice quality buttons for basic settings
+easy and mostly trouble-free Bluetooth connectivity with good sound quality
+relatively good quality connection cables, if needed
+they also have a remote control if you need it, with a standby button
Cons:
-they are not completely neutral in the audio spectrum and speech may sound a bit muffled, especially in content that contains simultaneous voice and other sounds (movies, songs with vocals)
-warm sound (a disadvantage and advantage, depending on the user)
-they don't have an automatic standby mode, something that is pretty standard in many computer speakers for many years now
-they don't have optical, USB, or HDMI connections, which is perhaps expected since they are not intended for use with a TV.
-the speakers are somewhat bulky for small desks
Conclusion: an excellent choice for music up to 120-140 euros. Especially for organic music or music without emphasis on vocals (rock, metal, doom, prog, post, punk, electronic), they have an exceptional, crystal-clear, balanced sound out of the box.
Less suitable, although still suitable for movies and series, they do their job much better than speakers, for example, on a laptop or other speakers of lower or similar price range. Some "nitpickers" may need adjustment for speech.
They are not neutral enough and therefore, in my opinion, not suitable for studio speakers for audio editing.
In any case, very good speakers that the average user will enjoy their music or any content without problems.
I would recommend them:
For music: Yes, up to 120-140 euros depending on the competition (except for rare cases where someone listens to songs with maximum emphasis on vocals, opera, I'm talking about you).
For gaming: Well, probably yes, the requirements there are not that high, if someone wants detail, they will get headphones.
For movies: yes, for the average user, for the very demanding ones only with the use of equalizer and speaker settings.
For YouTube: yes, most videos don't have such high-quality speech for someone to notice a difference.
For audio editing: not in my opinion, unless someone has the ability to make them more neutral (equalizer, calibrated microphones, etc.).
