I bought it and installed it on the solar water heater, but it doesn't read the sensor for me. It connected properly to the wifi network.

Translated from Greek ·Did you find this review helpful?The sensor works fine. I haven't used an extension yet. I will come back in the next few days. I use it to monitor the temperature of the boiler for hot water. The problem I encountered was where on the boiler it reads the water temperature correctly. I put it inside the thermostat's bucket with the power (I don't need it, I don't use power) and it doesn't read correctly. I wedged it between the boiler and the insulation, still not reading correctly. I taped it to the hot water outlet, nothing. After many tests in various locations, I ended up sticking it with a metal adhesive tape on the circulating pump screw and it reads the temperature perfectly. I use it with the Th elite switch from Sonoff. I found a difference in the water temperature at the faucet -2.3 degrees, which is logical as the water loses heat on the way from the pump to the faucet. This difference is calibrated by the application at the decimal level. I have bought a second sensor for the solar panel.
Edit: I used a 10-meter extension with a telephone cable and it works fine. Make sure that the switch you have connected it to (Th elite in my case) has the latest upgrade.Translated from Greek ·Did you find this review helpful?The sensor is fine, the problem lies with the extension. I have it on a solar water heater and it lasted for a year, but now as soon as I connect it to the Sonoff 16, the metal end of the sensor starts to corrode and it doesn't show the temperature at all. The Sonoff 16 doesn't read it at all, it probably gave up.
