Prayer is a difficult, delicate, and painful spiritual work, the most important of the human spirit, because it offers Theognosia and peace of soul. We speak to the Creator or to the Saints (His friends), thus contemplating the greatness of His works, such as the starry sky, we feel reverence to the point of tears for the highest honor to speak to Him. Our mind tends to wander to foreign thoughts, but we hook our mind on the image of Christ or the Virgin Mary or on His magnificent work, but we also contemplate every word of the prayer.
