A click can be heard as soon as it starts spinning, and it seems to be coming from inside the engine casing! I found that when I remove one blade, it stops, but of course I won't run it with just three blades... So until I open it up to see where it's coming from, I won't run it at full speed... only the light!

This ceiling fan has been hanging for over 18 years. It is not fixed to the ceiling but hangs securely on a hook. It makes a slight noise when starting up, but according to the electrician, "it's just getting into gear!" We have never had any problems in the past 18 years. The electrician at the time connected it to a switch, with one switch for the light and one for the fan. It is reversible so that it can push heat downwards during the winter. The chains for changing the speed or turning the light on and off are quite short, but I solved this issue by using an extension cord alternatively, you can purchase a longer chain.
I have at home a Westinghouse, two Telco ones, and at my country house I have a Telco and a Primo. No complaints about noise and power from all of them. And now I bought and installed this Eurolamp, pure disappointment in terms of power and oscillation. Without questioning the comments from other users, the product so far is both quiet and powerful. No creaking or anything. You bring an experienced electrician and in 15 minutes you're ready. That's it.

Unfortunately, friends, the watermelon is terrible. With careful placement of absolute precision in the screws that the fan has, it wobbles no matter how I have secured it. The instructions are simply tragic, you don't understand anything. The worst part is that after 20-30 minutes of working, the motor heats up and starts making an annoying tick tick tick from the heat that is generated, like a machine when you turn it off and it cools down. I do not recommend it as a purchase, give something more and go for a serious solution, as the wise people say, cheap things end up being expensive. The only good thing is that it generates some airflow, but it is annoying to hear the noise on the third setting, plus the tick tick of the hot motor. Now, if you are a 100-year-old grandpa who can't hear, then everything is fine.
A simple ceiling fan. The instructions are missing, so I assembled it empirically and it took me an hour. The screws included for attaching it to the ceiling are just random unfortunately, a mediocrity, but for the price at the moment, it is the most economical option, so there is no other choice.
As another friend here describes, it hangs and sometimes synchronizes strangely and wobbles, making an annoying creaking noise in a joint that I cannot locate (edit: I hadn't put the globes on, one of them was broken. After I put them on and applied some oil to the joints as a precaution, the creaking stopped, maybe due to the weight).
Also, the hook on the ceiling was too big to fit into their system. So for now, I used 2 zip ties (each can hold about 8 kilograms) to hold it. Maybe I should have used a clamp/collar. And the shade/cover is also problematic to install, as the friend mentioned.
The chains are also very small and for now, I haven't found anything visually acceptable to hang.
As if all this wasn't enough, it happened to be broken and bent.. the one out of the four globes. I bought it from outside Athens and I don't feel like going through the return process. So I have to buy four globes.
It should have been made as one piece except for the wings, so that there are no vibrations (it seems that this issue has been resolved) and it should have had a more adjustable hanging system and cover. I don't have experience with other fans edit: to compare. However, it seems to be a Greek company: "Eurolamp SA was founded in 2000 in Thessaloniki"! Well done!
I bought 2 and both were installed with the included roof attachment. One was connected to a double switch, so I can operate the light and the fan independently. The second one was connected to a single switch, without any problem. On the second setting, where I usually operate them, you have to look at them to realize that they are working, as they make no noise at all. If they prove to be durable over time, their purchase will be perfect.
Installation is easy for someone who is handy (drilling and installation took about an hour and a half with a coffee for one person). It can be mounted with screws or hung. If you hang it, you don't need the metal base (the one used for ceiling screwing), just connect the black and blue wires to the phase and the white wire to the neutral. Connects to a single switch. For a room height of approximately 2.80 meters, you will need a longer cord because you can't reach from below (at least I added 20cm with my 1.80 height)
Good for the money it costs.
It requires attention during assembly, as it is very easy for the blades or some other part of the fan to become misaligned. With a little care, it can be easily set up and installed, despite the inadequate instructions included in the packaging.
Attention: The mounting screws on the ceiling do not inspire confidence. Use concrete screws and 8mm anchors for security.
For its price, it is not bad, but it has its issues and construction flaws, such as the fact that the bases of the wings are crooked and sit on the base, and the attempt to align them can never be precise, resulting in the fan trembling no matter what you do (wobble). Also, the way it hangs from the ceiling is at least strange, as it has 2 ways to hang it, the first one using a hook and the second one using the bracket. The problem is that if you go with the first way, then the bracket will come off unless you remove the black balancing ball, but then it has a trembling issue...
Finally, I couldn't operate it with a double switch for the light and the fan separately, but this may be my mistake.
For the 43 euros I bought it for, it is by far better than any tabletop or floor fan and it is not even audible at level 3.

Overall, I have installed about a dozen ceiling fans in my own and relatives' houses. This particular one, although very cheap, is perhaps the best because it combines good technical features with decent build quality. I highly recommend it. However, I will hold the scepter a little longer to advise those who may be looking without prior experience.
- More or less, all ceiling fans do the same job. I consider the diameter to be the main characteristic. The larger it is, the more space it will cover.
- Ceiling fans NEVER lower the temperature. What they do with the movement of air is to dry your sweat, and it is precisely this energy that creates the "illusion" of coolness.
- Some people who negatively comment on a fan may not have noticed the presence of a switch that alternates between summer and winter mode, resulting in the fan not blowing downwards effectively because the switch happens to be in the wrong position.
- Ceiling fans (even the cheapest ones) are quite silent. Practically, the only thing you hear is perhaps a slight noise from the movement of air when the device is operating at high speed, and very little noise from the motor, only if the cicadas have stopped singing. Of course, all of this is under the condition that it is installed correctly. If it is not installed properly, everything will rattle. And I speak from personal experience.
At first, I thought that the air it produces is a bit weak on the highest setting.. However, I later noticed that it gradually creates a small climate in the living room and at night, when I turned it on during the peak of summer, it even cooled me down and I had to turn it off. It is very good for its price
We still can't connect it. It's very complicated and doesn't work together with the light; when the light turns on, the fan turns on, and when you turn off the light, the fan turns off... Terrible...
