I had put it under the sleeping bag and slept inside a tent.
On relatively hard ground.
I would wake up every now and then from the pain.
It didn't suit me at all.
It was like sleeping on concrete.
For camping, I recommend a thicker mattress.

    Very good, very comfortable camping mattress. First time with a self-inflating one after years with the classic, and the difference is obviously huge. 66cm and 188cm is very big for a person who is 1.60m (maybe the extra weight makes a difference for someone who doesn't travel by car), but I slept very comfortably for 10 days. Something that may be obvious, but I will write it in case someone can avoid their mattress... These mattresses are obviously much more sensitive to the presence of thorns under the tent. We got tired, didn't clean well in one of the locations... and it got punctured. Luckily, I had these patches and it was saved, but it may be a negative compared to the classic foam mattress that may leave a mark but won't be damaged. If it doesn't inflate on its own, someone can open the valve and blow into it. Very, very comfortable sleep even with the hole. I recommend it.

    Very easy to transport and very easy to inflate! For the four nights that I used it, the sleep I had was very good! It has a case and straps that make it easy to pack up! (After many hours in the sun and heat, like all inflatable items, it loses a little air and simply needs to be refreshed with some air again) Very good for its price and I recommend it!
