  The watch ticks many boxes. Beautiful, elegant, light on the wrist and great for sleep tracking. Good communication with the phone with notifications, and you can reply from the watch with some pre-set responses or by writing on a small keyboard. However, the biggest advantage of Garmin watches is the sports software. It provides you with a lot of information and tips on how to improve your running endurance, sets goals for marathons, and helps you achieve them with a professional coach that you choose, using their own methods. Plenty of watch faces are also available from the store.

  I will briefly list the features that stood out to me in order to help you, as it was difficult for me to understand the differences that the vivoactive 5 has compared to other Garmin watches and what I might be missing before trying it out.

  +Very nice clear and bright screen, even in sunny weather.
  +Fast response without any lag.
  +Garmin coach training program for running, just like the forerunner series from Garmin.
  +Garmin pay.

  -Altitude is measured using GPS data, so it is not as accurate. If accuracy in measuring altitude is important to you, then you might not prefer it.
  -It does not have audible notifications with "beeps," only vibration.
  -It does not have a metronome to help with cadence. But this can be solved if you wear headphones and listen to the rhythm from there.
  -When running, it shows the instantaneous speed and there doesn't seem to be a setting to change this.

  Regarding a comment I saw about charging, the cable that comes with it can be plugged into a mobile charger, and it doesn't matter what power the charger has because the watch will draw as much energy as it needs. This is mentioned on Garmin's website if you look it up. Additionally, it can be charged directly from a smartphone with a type C port.

  First of all, it is extremely lightweight. Secondly, it is very fast in everything, in switching, in connectivity, in functions, etc., and very accurate in measurements. I have no opinion on the battery because I haven't closed a week since I bought it. The only thing I haven't found is how to connect the headphones, but I imagine I will find it. Otherwise, I would buy it again and again
