The variable light intensities and the red safety light give you greater visibility during training in the dark, providing convenient lighting when you need it. The strobe function can even match the pace of your run.
This feature measures your uphill running ability and evaluates your progress over time based on your VO2 max and training history. It measures your running power on steep ascents and your running endurance on long climbs, providing a score based on your performance over time.
This feature measures your ability to sustain prolonged efforts and combines training data from all your sports activities to help you understand how training affects your overall endurance. This dynamic measurement uses VO2 max, short-term/long-term training loads, and other factors to gauge your fitness progress beyond VO2 max.
The durable athletic design features a bright 1.3″ AMOLED display, responsive touchscreen, traditional buttons, and a 47mm fiber-reinforced polymer case with a steel bezel and back cover. The watch is tested to U.S. military standards for heat, shock, and water resistance.
Your health and training data should be easily interpretable and provide actionable insights. Start each day with a customizable morning report and view a daily summary of health and wellness information. Use the coaching readiness feature - which examines a variety of different health metrics to help you maximize training effectiveness and recovery - to avoid burnout.
Based on your running history and overall fitness level, this feature provides an estimate of the recommended pace for the distance you want to run. The graphs with your data show how your training impacts this over time.
And to complement your daily life, the connectivity features include smart notifications, music storage and playback, and contactless payments with Garmin Pay.
Download songs and playlists from your Spotify, Deezer, or Amazon Music accounts (subscription may be required).
Use wireless headphones (sold separately) to listen to music without your phone.
Use the ClimbPro ascent planner on downloaded routes to see real-time information
from the current and upcoming ascents including gradient, distance, and elevation gain, as well as for descents and flats.

Currently, this watch is the top of smartwatches. I haven't found anything negative. Just to know that whoever buys it will have a personal trainer with detailed health and performance data on their wrist, combined with a plethora of survival elements, and not a gadget like an Apple Watch or Galaxy Watch that needs to be charged every two days to answer the phone (notifications on the watch and interaction with the phone are of course excellent, with the battery needing to be charged twice a month). The icing on the cake compared to the fenix series is the AMOLED screen, which takes the watch to another level.
