It definitely protects from falls as my phone has fallen more than once and nothing happened, but... this particular silicone is quite soft and wears out easily, resulting in pieces coming off over time (especially at the corners) and becoming somewhat unsightly. If you don't intend to take care of the case like your own eyes, it's better to choose something else.
The handle on the back is quite useful.
After the second fall, the inner hard plastic (inside the silicone) broke, so because I didn't want to risk the protection of my phone, it was replaced with a new one.
After buying the same case twice and encountering the same wear issues, I switched to a different brand.
Finally, keep in mind that because the space it leaves for the USB port is somewhat limited, some of your cables may not be supported if they have a thick head.
I read my friend's review saying that the negative reviews are unfair to this case and he gave it 5 stars to contradict them. I have had this case since I bought my phone less than a year ago and although I am satisfied with the protection it provides, I am dissatisfied with its material. It has extremely thin silicone on the outside and plastic on the inside. The phone took a fall and as you can see in the photos, pieces of silicone and plastic came off. In fact, material came off even in unrelated areas like the buttons.
From Note 1 to S23, the Samsung cases I had were almost always expensive and of poor quality. I got excited and bought this one with silicone on the inside and plastic on the outside, and I regretted it again.
Another miss is the fact that if you don't have nails, it is very difficult to remove the stylus because of the thickness of the case. On the positive side, it does not affect the sound at all.
I don't often leave reviews for products I purchase, as I already know what to expect based on other people's comments and my own thorough evaluation of the product BEFORE buying it, so that I don't regret it upon receiving it and waste my money.
In this particular case, I feel compelled to write a review because I saw many negative comments about this specific case that are NOT true and unfairly prejudice other potential buyers (as it initially happened to me, although I still went ahead with the purchase), thus discouraging others from buying it and benefiting from it in their daily lives. However, I bought it because I believed it is a good product, as the original case cannot be as bad as some describe it, especially for this price. Some people, by default, choose to focus only on the negatives of a situation and completely overlook the positives that always exist, if you choose to see them from that perspective.
I want to clarify that I have no experience (only through videos) with the corresponding original case of the S22 Ultra (regarding the comments comparing it to the controversial case), but I will exclusively talk about this specific case, which I have used extensively and in challenging conditions, where its true value was evident.
1. The material is high-quality silicone, which provides a very good grip without smudges, along with excellent fit on the phone. It could be thicker for even better shock absorption in case of drops, but it would lose its slimness and make it difficult to hold the phone (which is already quite bulky due to its 6.8" screen width), so it is understandable that it has a medium thickness to allow easy access with fingers from edge to edge. I have medium-length fingers and palms.
2. The statement that it does not fit very large or small fingers is NOT true, as you can see from the corresponding photo that the designers have taken this into account, and you can ADJUST the length of the strap because it has 2 notches on the internal green clips to increase the length in 2 steps. It is inside where it reaches the back. Therefore, all fingers are covered. Personally, I prefer it with the tight (initial) fastening for better fit with the upper part of the palm.
3. The fact that the case "bulges" from the right side is evident from the photos (something you know BEFORE buying it, not something you discover with surprise after the purchase), and it has a VERY positive aspect compared to the huge strap of the S22 Ultra case, which, along with the metal ring, makes it even more inconvenient for putting in and taking out of pockets, etc., besides adding more weight with the metal and the sound it makes when placed on a table or surface. I find it cumbersome compared to the S22 Ultra case, I would not buy it for everyday use.
The positive aspect of the elevation from one side is that you can lift and wear the strap instantly with just your fingers when you have it on a flat surface, WITHOUT needing a second hand to secure the phone on you, as you wear the strap momentarily, especially if you are left-handed, as it lifts from the left side (from the S-Pen side).
I can say that this specific case is excellent for fully secure one-handed use, whether you lift the phone or wear it in your palm for safety. If it was integrated into the back and became a flat body (the silicone strap would fit flat inside the case), then you would need both hands to remove it from the body, while now with just one hand you can put it on and take it off from the palm with absolute safety and certainty that it will not slip off.
You feel the maximum safety when taking photos from a balcony/window/railing/ship, because you "wear" the phone and can take photos carefree, compared to any classic case where with a push/slide the phone starts to obey gravity with the classic results of falling/sinking.
4. Since 90% of the population is right-handed, it is logical for them to produce a product that satisfies the overwhelming majority, it is self-evident I think. Although right-handed, I frequently use my left hand and always put the phone in my left pocket, so I fully know if it is convenient for left-handed people as well. The only difference is that for right-handed people, you "wear" your fingertips up to the middle (second joint of the fingers), while for left-handed people, you "wear" the silicone strap up to the upper knuckle of the fingers to the palm (depending on the size of the palm), where in both cases the phone is secured for one-handed use. No matter which hand you use to handle it, the result is the same and you quickly get used to it, without ever thinking if it is the right or wrong hand or if it "doesn't fit correctly". When a product becomes "second nature" in your everyday life, then it has become "transparent" and you don't care about it, which means it has perfectly achieved its goal. This case is such a product that takes away any fear that the phone will slip from your hands every time you hold it.
As for the subjective "negatives", I would prefer it to be matte black and the strap to be dark gray (I have the gray one), but appearance is of secondary importance when functionality overcomes aesthetic contradictions in my opinion.
These are the "few" things, as a counterargument to the negative comments that do not mention any positive aspects of it.

Today I received the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Case - Samsung Silicon Grip Case - Black.
The case is not worth it at all compared to the one that was released for the S22. It is much inferior and many of the 22.
This one does not stand on a flat surface but leans. Also, in terms of grip, if you have small fingers, it will not be convenient due to it being on the left side. Additionally, if you have thick fingers like me, it is too tight. If you are right-handed, it does not suit us. Maybe it will do a better job for left-handed people.
It's a shame, a shame, a shame that they didn't release the previous one.
