Cats do not need philosophy. Following their nature, they are satisfied with the life they are given. In humans, on the other hand, dissatisfaction with their own nature seems natural. The human animal never ceases to strive to become something it is not. Cats make no such effort. A large part of human life consists of the struggle for happiness. For cats, on the other hand, happiness is their basic state. They possess an inherent happiness that humans usually fail to conquer.
Humans cannot become cats. However, if they set aside the idea that they are superior beings, they may understand how cats thrive without desperately seeking how to live.
