Excellent stove! I have it to heat approximately 100 sqm. The best spot to light it is the one shown in the photo: maximum efficiency and no smell. It is safe for children as it has a protective glass. I consume one bottle of old type every week with 10 days of daily use for about 4-5 hours/day with a dehumidifier and good insulation. I highly recommend it!
The stove is used in a 78 sqm house from 1982, on the 4th floor, with the 5th being the attic, so half of the house is uncovered from above and three sides are free. It has moderate insulation and windows with double glazing.
It looks very nice, especially on the third scale where the fire covers the fake wood.
In terms of performance, it is worth the price difference, as it is 3,400 kW with a maximum consumption of ~245gr/h and it heats a house up to 80 sqm according to the manufacturer.
A stove with a price of ~99€ and a power of 4,200 kW with obviously higher consumption of ~350gr/h, heats a space up to 20 sqm (tested).
From my personal experience, I highlight the following characteristics:
1. It doesn't smell at all. I use coral prime for household use.
The instructions state in big red letters that the first use of the stove should be on the highest scale, for 4 consecutive hours. This is because the fake wood needs to dry. The smell it emits during these four hours is unbearable, so ideally it should be done in an outdoor area.
After this process, there is no smell at all. If someone smells something, they are doing something wrong.
2. High efficiency. It heats the entire house within 1 hour on the large scale. This means that with a consumption of 245gr, the temperature increases by 1 degree. The thermometer is placed in the center of the house. The heat in the room where it is placed is immediately noticeable.
So hypothetically, if we turn on the stove for 4 hours a day, it means that we will need one bottle per week: 245*4*7=6,860 gr/week.
3. It is very beautiful. Apart from the visual satisfaction, it also gives the feeling of "company" as we say for fireplaces.
4. The construction is sturdy. The wheels are heavy-duty, which means they can withstand the weight together with the bottle and can be easily moved.
I regret giving the money for this stove, it constantly goes out and doesn't emit much heat. Not only that, it's not worth the money at all for heating a small room because it can only heat a small room. Don't get it, you will waste your money
I have had it for 2 weeks and have tried 3 different bottles. The first one, the old type, smelled quite a bit in the first few hours but it was expected as stated in the instructions. After 6-7 hours, the smell decreased significantly. Then I tried a coral prime bottle which smelled quite strong and had to remove it because we couldn't stand it anymore. Finally, we used a full bottle of the old type which only smelled for 1-2 minutes and then didn't smell at all. I have it in a 25 square meter space and it raises the temperature from 13 degrees to about 20-22 degrees. The bottle lasts me approximately 40-45 hours. It doesn't have the warmth of a wood stove, but it is better than an air conditioner (in my opinion).
It's not worth it. It consumes a lot of gas with moderate to low efficiency (one 10kg bottle per week, only operating during the evening hours in a 28 sqm room without insulation and aluminum windows in a 1950s apartment building). All the heat goes up along with the hot air it emits. At a distance of more than 1 meter, you don't feel any (infra red) radiation. Only in combination with the radiators do I feel a slight increase in warmth. Even after one week of use, it still smells and it seems like it will continue to do so, I had hoped that over time it would go away due to it being new and the factory smells needing to dissipate. I feel like I have a car running in my living room (gold with a coral prime household bottle). It's very expensive for what it is. Additionally, it doesn't close from the back (like its more expensive sister, Provence) and the bottle is visible, so you need to place it somewhere to hide it from view... I do not recommend it.
Low performance for a 50 sq.m. space and the smell is unbearable both with a conventional bottle and with a coral gas prime bottle. It is not cost-effective in terms of consumption, as approximately 6 bottles per month are required for 7-8 hours of daily use.
I have it in a professional space of about 50 sqm, as an auxiliary heating device (there is also air conditioning) and it works perfectly set at 2. If I put it on full power, it might be able to heat the space on its own, but it probably wouldn't be cost-effective. It is also very beautiful (nothing like some cheaper ones), and with a Coral Gas Prime cylinder, it doesn't smell at all.
