In short, to address the issue of biased reviews, I would say that this watch is for those who want a mini mobile device on their wrist so they don't have to use their actual phone too much. It has good sensors and is generally very cool. Those who complain about battery life and such don't realize that it's not possible to have all the functions of a phone on your wrist and still have a battery that lasts for weeks. If you want good battery life and sensors, go for Huawei or Garmin, but forget about the label "mobile on your wrist."
One of the main reasons I bought it was for the blood pressure measurement, as I believed that FDA approval would mean something (as if we didn't learn anything from the pandemic). I expected the measurement to be approximate and simply give me an indication of whether it had gone up or down, like with various cheap Chinese ones I have bought over time. However, this one doesn't even give me that indication! It simply shows a value slightly above or below the values entered with calibration, REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH THE PRESSURE HAS GONE UP (or down)! I'm talking about large differences of 40mmHg that I measured myself and suspect that even if it went up further, it wouldn't change anything. I don't know if my pulse has something different, but the measurement is COMPLETELY FAKE!
The ECG is reliable as a recording, but the only interpretation it makes is for atrial fibrillation. No other type of arrhythmia is detected.
Otherwise, nice screen, many useful functions, decent battery life of 2-3 days with continuous monitoring of pulse and sleep if you don't mess with it too much, strap that I couldn't get exactly the tightness I wanted and doesn't center, resulting in a little excess on the side at the bottom of the hand.
The charger is only USB-C, without even a converter in the box (another fault, I don't know about others but my computer has only one inaccessible such port).
Great dependence on the phone for most functions, while for ECG and blood pressure it requires special Samsung without any particular reason.
In my opinion, seriously overpriced for what I wanted.
If it had a battery with a larger capacity, it would simply be perfect. I give it 5 stars even though it has a shorter battery life compared to other SmartWatches because it does everything else exactly as it should.
Owner of the 1st and 4th models, I upgraded to the 5 pro due to the larger battery. Easily lasts 3 days with heavy usage (multiple notifications throughout the day). The biggest advantage of Samsung watches is the ability, even though it's not 4G (doesn't accept eSIM), to leave it at home and if connected to a WiFi network, receive all notifications as well as make/receive calls as if you had your phone with you.
For some reason, while it used to be accurate in sleep tracking, now it counts whatever it wants. The battery is the worst I have ever seen. Maximum 2 days, even with all functions turned off. Overall, it's not worth it at all. I had the amazfit stratos 3 and its battery started to not hold up anymore, and ultimately it lasts longer than this.
I won't bore you guys, the watch does what it says ‼️‼️
Only 2 negatives (for me at least), the battery and the strap, and that's why it gets 4 stars. I'm tired of how Samsung struggles with battery life, I mean how can Huawei have such good battery autonomy with the same features and Samsung can't, I really don't understand. Anyway, for 250 euros, the watch is amazing
(Coming from Samsung Galaxy Sport and the new Amazfit T-Rex Pro, which had a battery life of 2 weeks but went back in its box because unfortunately it lacked contacts and calling capabilities, something I definitely need).
First impression, the Watch 5 in gray color, a beautiful watch (the photos don't do it justice), incredible screen and a premium device feel in the hand, unlimited functions and ease of use.
At first, I was disappointed because I couldn't hear the sound on calls through the headphones, as some friends mentioned below, but everything is okay. It's a setting issue on the phone, not the watch.
To help, you don't pair the watch with the headphones, but in the Bluetooth settings of the phone, we connect the headphones for calls and sound, and the Watch Pro only for calls.
Regarding what it offers, I'm not bothered at all by the 3-day battery life. Fantastic watch, get it with your eyes closed.
Awesome watch, fully meets my needs, accuracy in measurements, the battery lasts me 3 days
It looks very good for as long as I have it. Only two things.
I would like a higher quality strap. What it has is not bad, but I would like something better.
Also, it does not transfer the call from the watch to the headphones, only to the phone.
Whatever I say about this watch is not enough. I was a fanatic against smartwatches until I received it as a gift and wore it. I never took it off my hand. 3 days of battery life with everything open. Easy payments and flawless synchronization, at least with a Samsung smartphone (A52s). What amazed me was the speech feature. I can do tasks and talk on the phone call while moving my hands away from my mouth, and the person I'm talking to can still hear me clearly. The functions with Samsung Health, blood pressure measurement, and others work flawlessly and the results are accurate compared to a blood pressure monitor. I really can't find any flaws. It's worth every penny, down to the last euro. The convenience it offers in your daily life is truly invaluable because everything works perfectly without any issues
Awesome watch powerful in everything it does. It does whatever you ask it to do exactly as you want. Very beautiful in my opinion and durable. As time goes by, with updates it only gets better. The only slightly negative thing is its battery. For me, it is quite satisfactory. It lasts 2.5 to 3 days and if the functions are turned off (wifi, nfc, always on display, etc.) maybe even longer.
The best smartwatch I have ever used by far.
Good construction, It has several measurements. On the negative side, the charger of the Watch 2 does not work, it has its own, which is even USB type C and requires a separate adapter for the socket or a USB type C to USB converter, which of course is sold separately.
Nice wearable but if you don't have a Samsung phone, you lose out on everything that works through Samsung health. Samsung Greece, after my message regarding the incompatibility, informed me that this fact is explicitly stated on their page. Run and search! I believe that cheaper smartwatches do exactly the same job. If I could go back in time, maybe I would choose a different brand, but definitely LTE so that I wouldn't have to constantly carry my phone with me.
Whatever I say is a little worth its money 100%. 3 days and still the battery is at 39%. It has everything, it does everything, it is the best thing Samsung has at the moment.
Incredible, it does its job perfectly! I highly recommend it
If you belong to the Samsung family, it is worth it.
The battery lasts 1.5 days with everything open.
The voice calls are very satisfactory, answering messages is okay, not particularly convenient though.
You can read an email, but you can't view any files, photos, etc., which is a negative for me.
On the plus side, you can set a GPS route from your phone to the watch.
It is durable and resistant to marks.
The dial is titanium and fine, but the strap doesn't justify the price and may be prone to marks.
I come from the Huawei Watch 3 Pro, and what can I say about the Samsung? I am amazed. This is a true smartwatch - you can respond to messages on Messenger, talk and write, display images, and access the internet. I really regret not getting this watch earlier. The collaboration with the Honor Magic5 Pro is flawless and trouble-free. The battery life with Always On is 2.5 days, even without excessive measurements.
Battery autonomy of 2.5 days with everything open. Plays exceptionally well with Samsung Note 10+ without needing to adjust settings. Excellent build quality!!
Quite good smartwatch, very good build quality, accuracy in measurements!!
Very easy management of calls and messages, supports Google pay so you can pay directly with the watch.
Responds to calls and messages without any problem. It has no problem with compatibility, disconnections, etc., everything works perfectly with S23Ulltra.
-1 star because I would have preferred a 48mm size!!!!
The battery lasts for 3 days, it could definitely be better but personally it doesn't bother me.
Perfect watch! I also bought a protective cover with it!
It downloads apps and its measurements are flawless!!! I recommend it!
As the owner of the first Galaxy watch, after two and a half months of use, I have to say the following. The battery lasts only one day, there is no automatic setting for finding cycling exercise like the previous model, which was very useful to me, and the measurement of blood pressure is not accurate. The NFC works fine and the screen has very good clarity. Overall, compared to the first model, I expected a much better watch, but unfortunately, I am disappointed.
Better battery autonomy than expected, without Wi-Fi and GPS on (when not needed) with energy saving mode on, it lasts for 4+ days. The secret is to disable features that are not needed (continuous heart rate and oxygen saturation monitoring, continuous exercise start search, constantly on screen). Its recordings are very accurate, even blood pressure measurement (requires calibration). Its compatibility with Samsung S20FE mobile is flawless.
I had read many reviews about this smartwatch and before getting it, I did extensive market research. It has a fairly large battery for a smartwatch, but I will say that how you use it and which functions you have enabled plays a big role in battery life. That is, if you constantly talk from the watch, send messages, have everything enabled like NFC, GPS, WIFI, BLUETOOTH, etc., it goes without saying that the battery will not last more than 2 days, maybe even one. With the way I use it, it lasts me 4 24-hour periods without energy saving. I consider it satisfactory because it's like having a mini mobile phone on your wrist. It has many functions and syncs very well with Samsung mobiles. Perfect for me!!! It does exactly what it promises.
It's a nice watch but that's about it. It needs to be charged every 2 days and takes about 2 hours to charge. Also, I had a Xiaomi and some functions were not possible because it required a Samsung phone. Another HUGE MISTAKE is that it doesn't work with an iPhone. And now that I changed my phone, the watch is useless.
The battery doesn't have as short of a lifespan as reviews say. It lasts for 4 days with GPS turned off. It charges very quickly with a 15W charger that I bought (30-45 min). I only turn on the GPS when I run or walk (once a day for 1 to 1.5 hours). The screen clarity is very good. I have a Samsung phone and I have all the functions and notifications that I can get from the watch. It's a true smartwatch.
2 days of autonomy with not many hours of Bluetooth on and almost no WiFi. GPS is good but takes a bit long to synchronize.
I got it for running and the gym, I know there are better options for this job but not doing the basics right is completely pointless! So, running with the GPS, heart rate monitor, and music from Spotify starts after a while and takes breaks in the music. Otherwise, its measurements in heart rate and distance are okay, the battery is great as usual in Samsung, and overall it's not worth its money!
Amazing smartwatch, excellent build quality, accuracy in measurements (especially in running, it has a wide range of measurements!)
Easy management of calls and messages (by downloading gboard on the watch, you can speak and it writes!!)
Supports Google Pay, so you can pay directly with the watch.
The battery lasts for 3 days, it could definitely be better, but personally, it doesn't bother me.
4 stars only due to battery life! Quality, precise measurements, awesome screen, comfortable application, very convenient strap with magnet, many functions and applications that you can install. The 350 and 280 it had are not worth it, let's not go crazy though... below, yes.
