The MacBook Pro is aimed at professionals who seek maximum power in areas such as image and sound processing, as well as professional developers.
Another level.
The M2 chip marks the beginning of the next generation of Apple silicon, with even greater speed and energy efficiency than the M1. This allows you to handle workflows with a more powerful 8-core CPU. Create stunning graphics with a lightning-fast 10-core GPU. Work with ProRes 4K and 8K video streams using the high-performance media engine. And multitask with faster unified memory of up to 24 GB.
Thermal efficiency
Active cooling system for blazing performance. Thanks to its advanced thermal system and the efficiency of the Apple chip, the MacBook Pro supports professional performance levels, allowing you to handle CPU and GPU intensive tasks for hours.
Excellent collaboration.
macOS and M2 work together to bring more speed and responsiveness to all apps, including Microsoft 365 and your favorite iOS apps. Over 10,000 apps and add-ons have already been optimized for Apple silicon. And Rosetta 2 simply and easily translates apps designed for Intel processors, so you can use them with the MacBook Pro.
Multimedia Machine
A portable processing toolbox.
The high-performance media engine on the M2 supports ProRes encoding and decoding. So you can play and edit up to 11 streams of 4K ProRes video and up to 2 streams of 8K ProRes video, including 4K ProRes video recordings on iPhone 13 Pro. And the ability to convert projects to ProRes up to 3 times faster than before.
MacBook Pro. Yours Securely.
The M2 chip and macOS provide the MacBook Pro with security and privacy features beyond any previous in its category. With built-in protections against malware and viruses, the freedom to choose what to share and how to share it, and chip-level features, Touch ID, and Apple Pay, they are designed to protect your privacy and data at every stage.
Retina Display
Breathtaking image.
With the dazzling Retina display, images achieve an incredible level of detail and realism. Text is sharp and clear. The powerful LED backlighting delivers deeper blacks and even brighter whites. The wide P3 color gamut provides even more vibrant greens and reds compared to sRGB. Additionally, the MacBook Pro features True Tone technology, so the white balance automatically adjusts to the color temperature of the light in your environment, for a more natural viewing experience.
Camera and microphones
All eyes and ears on you.
Thanks to the M2, the FaceTime HD camera fully leverages Apple's latest image signal processor, so you look your best on video calls. Additionally, whether you're conducting a meeting, hosting a podcast, or communicating with friends and family, the studio-quality microphones will ensure that everyone hears you crystal clear.
FaceTime HD Camera
The M2 chip helps you look your best. Advanced noise reduction makes dark areas clearer. And facial recognition uses the Neural Engine to better adjust white balance and exposure levels for even more natural skin tones.
Magic Keyboard
Yours. Down to the last key.
The Magic Keyboard provides a comfortable, quiet, and highly responsive typing experience. The Touch Bar places the commands you need most exactly where you need them. This way, you save time and movements. Additionally, Touch ID provides fast and easy authentication for secure logins and purchases.
Connectivity
Connections to do everything faster than ever.
Extremely high bandwidth meets exceptional flexibility. Thunderbolt provides data transfer, charging, and video output in a single port—and the MacBook Pro has two such ports. Wi‑Fi 6 keeps the MacBook Pro strong as more and more devices connect to the network. While the headphone jack supports even high-impedance headphones.

After much thought, searching on YouTube, and discussions with people who already had experience with MacBooks, I ended up choosing this specific model since the new 14-inch was out of my price range. After a month of use, I have the following to say:
In terms of build quality, it stands out from all the Windows laptops I have used until now. The screen, although considerably smaller than the 15.6-inch laptop I came from, is quickly adapted to. The keyboard and trackpad are excellent. What solves all your problems are the gestures and command prompts. The Touch Bar is something new to me, but now it is essential, especially in Safari, which has replaced Chrome for me. The battery life is exceptional. I charge it approximately every 2-3 days with my usage. As for the M2, it operates quickly, silently, seamlessly, and without any glitches. For someone who wants a reliable machine with a professional orientation and portability, I highly recommend it. I hope I helped.
