Stoic Philosophy more relevant than ever…

To not be disturbed by anything is a great thing, truly, the greatest of all, and it is something that elevates a person almost to the level of a god.

Seneca "adapts" the concept of cheerfulness, emphasizing Democritus, through his dialogue with his friend Serenus. The Roman orator tries to cure him of anxiety and worry, using several methods of those who would later be characterized as Stoic philosophers and their understanding of the importance of mental health and tranquility for a happy person.

What begins as consolation and advice to a troubled friend tormented by existential problems and worries evolves into a deep dive into the human soul, where all the weapons for the war raging within us since the beginning of the world and until its end are hidden – until we conquer the supreme good: spiritual tranquility, that unique quality that even today, in this era we live in, and although almost two millennia have passed since the eminent Stoic philosopher Seneca wrote extolling it, seems to be identified with the very salvation of humanity.
