Don't push yourself anymore, talk about your needs and feel the freedom to truly be yourself!
In theory, we all know that we need to set healthy boundaries to achieve a balance between work and personal life, to deal with toxic people, and to build proper relationships with our partners, family, and friends.
But what exactly does "healthy boundaries" mean? And how can we say "no" and express our needs without hurting others?
Therapist and interpersonal relationship expert Nedra Glover Tawwab helps us find answers to this issue.
With understanding and empathy, she suggests simple yet effective ways to set healthy boundaries in every area of our lives.
The techniques she proposes, based on the latest research and the most proven practices of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), help us define and express our needs clearly and without guilt, as well as identify the deeper issues behind codependency, power plays, anxiety, depression, and much more.
Do you feel overwhelmed? Do you avoid communication with people who might ask you for something?
Do you have no time for yourself? Do you often dream of quitting everything and disappearing?
If any of these things – or all of them – are happening to you, then you urgently need boundaries in your relationships with those around you!
This book will help you discover and set them, so you can create better relationships and live a more complete, authentic, and joyful life!

Very bad book that confirms once again that the books that have become best sellers in America are simply products of good advertising and American culture. 1. Many pointless and probably false stories by the author.
2. It draws conclusions from her Instagram posts, as she herself mentions, which is completely unscientific!!
3. Her writing style is aimed at people who have not read more than 5 books in their lives.
4. No citation of scientific research/sources.
5. It mentions solutions that may not be suitable for everyone and someone unfamiliar with psychology may worsen a situation they are trying to solve.
6. The book may only appeal to someone unfamiliar with such topics who has their first encounter and has never read anything related before, but still with great reservation.
For me, it was a waste of time, as much as I managed to read it, and a waste of money
I have started it and I am about halfway through. If you struggle to say "no" to others, if you feel guilty when setting a limit, if you have never learned to communicate your needs in order not to upset others and keep everyone satisfied, just read this book!!!!!!! It is simple and understandable, it explains many aspects of the subject, with the purpose of understanding what exactly is happening with you and those around you regarding boundaries and respect for them. I highly recommend it. Even if you don't have an issue with setting your boundaries, I suggest you read it to better understand this important topic and to respect/understand someone who struggles or cannot set their boundaries, in order to help in the process... I will come back when I finish it.
