This book has two parallel, interconnected and interdependent paths.

In the first part, it follows the difficult journey of a doctor who, through a challenging path, is committed to serving his fellow human beings with honesty, understanding, love, and self-sacrifice. The Doctor, in a difficult journey, has a duty to try to postpone the arrival of the inevitable in a distant time, while providing quality of life - when possible - to the person who entrusted him with what is most precious and is between existence and non-existence. The doctor's mission is to serve the most important and at the same time most dramatic elements of human nature.

In the second part, it follows the journey, the Golgotha, of a sick person; the journey of every sick person. Such a story, based on truth, serves as a stimulus for the author to analyze thoughts and emotions that inevitably develop in such situations when they bring you to critical crossroads.

What each of these protagonists lives and feels is recorded, or rather the author attempts to record, in this book, the "Journey" that could be the journey of each one of us.
