I bought it to take it with me on hiking-camping trips because I think it doesn't take up space like carrying gas canisters, briquettes, etc. and of course to drink a more quality coffee instead of instant! The downside is that two of its components (photo) do not fit in the case and I have to arrange them somewhere else. The coffee grind, from what I read in a previous comment, should be fine (I will try it next time). I tried it with cold water and it reminded me of Cold Brew!!! and with hot water it is very good!!! One negative is that at this price, many will wonder why not buy an automatic espresso machine... but as I mentioned, I bought it to have it with me
Very good espresso. It needs a good grinder. Finely ground coffee. In combination with the base, grinder, and scale from wacaco, the result is aesthetically exceptional as you can achieve the perfect espresso in extraction times and a 1/2 ratio.
Very honest, it does what it promises. You just need to have a kettle with temperature control to achieve good results. I don't know what happens with spare parts if something goes wrong.
I have had it for a month and I really don't want to buy coffee from outside anymore, the machine is excellent and it really makes espresso, I think at this price it is the best you can get in general (even compared to fixed coffee machines). The truth is that I haven't taken it out of the house yet, but in the summer, wherever I am, I will have good quality espresso!
Suggestion:
It will not produce crema with ready-made coffee from the supermarket, you can either buy pre-ground coffee from a coffee shop or a grinder.
Update 4-5 months later,
the lid broke and I was desperate. I went to the store where I bought it and asked about the process and if it is covered by the warranty, and they told me that I have to send it to England and it will take about 20 working days and they don't know if the lid will be fixed. I use it every day, so I didn't want to part with it and luckily because I sent an email to the company's support and without asking for the purchase receipt, after a couple of weeks they sent me a new one. It was too good to be true that at first I was worried that it was a scam.
I even took it out of the house for camping and it was perfect, and now I take it to work. Making a coffee takes about 2-3 minutes (with a kettle).
It is an excellent machine to start your journey into personal coffee, the next one is the flair, I got hooked on manual machines hehe.
Suggestion 1: The coffee should be ground a little finer than in a "regular" espresso, so at the coffee shop, ask them to grind it for a professional machine at level 3, for example, for the picopresso it is better at 2.50-2.75. Good coffee shops are Motive, Honest, and 4m (they are all in Pagkrati, sorry). Anyone accepts it faster than they think, that coffee costs 40 euros per kilo, not 15-20 hehe.
Suggestion 2: You will have a better extraction if after 8-10 pumps, you let it sit for 20-30 seconds and then complete the extraction.
Suggestion 3: Contrary to what some may tell you, it is not necessary to have or buy a grinder, every time you buy coffee, ask them to grind it for you in 250 grams portions and then freeze it until you have the money and desire to spend it on a good grinder :)
The coffee that can be brewed at home is superior to most hand-sold coffee washes. However, unrelated to the object, with a little effort, I learned how to make my favorite freddo cappuccino (aka. chocolate Moroccan) and play with the dosage of coffee and grams of water in relation to the intensity of the coffee.
It replaced the Wacaco Picopresso Journey, which unfortunately broke down faster than I expected. The importing company replaced it without any problem since it was still under warranty, and I covered part of the price difference.
Build quality:
Heavy, sturdy, with more stainless steel components. It seems to withstand frequent or daily use.
Coffee quality:
Personally, I don't find any difference compared to the espresso made by a good coffee grinder. Anyway, I have stopped using single-use capsules for a year now due to their high furan content (google is your friend) and the plastic casing, which is not good for health or the environment.
Preparation time:
Average. It is not the fastest and requires 1-2 extra steps compared to the Nanopresso, as the crema produced by its coffee does not rely on "artificial means" (see the screw on the Nanopresso's spout). However, it is worth spending a few minutes to make your coffee the way you like it, rather than having others dictate the taste to you.
Acquisition cost:
High, but with such build quality, it is worth every euro. Also, I see that the price has significantly dropped compared to when I bought it.
Portability:
It is heavier than cheaper versions and does not have a built-in cup, but it fits comfortably in a backpack, bag, or suitcase, and the protective case is quite durable.
I also include the video of the presentation-unboxing and coffee preparation that I made:

The best device from Wacaco!
If you have a good grinding mill, it makes excellent espresso.
Of course, you will need to make several attempts until you find the right grind size for each coffee.
When we say a good mill, we mean one with metal blades and not ceramic ones.
For now, I grind with a Hero S01 with metal blades like the timemore c2, but with more rotations for more grind size options.
It goes without saying that with a better mill, you will have better results.
Additionally, it also takes upgrades such as the 51 mm IMS basket for more uniform extraction.
It makes very good coffee in combination with a good grinder (I use a manual one) and a good selection of coffee beans.
BUT, within less than 2 months, the screws that attach the basket/Porta filter broke, causing water leakage during extraction and gradually unscrewing. I sent it back to have the problem fixed and I am waiting for a response!!!
Update: Replacement and return of a new machine has been done
It makes very good espresso, with rich real cream and not the foam of capsule machines, equal to a café. It is necessary to combine it with a good grinder, so that you can adjust the grinding of the coffee to achieve the best result (because it is difficult to find a good electric grinder at a low price, I suggest buying a manual Porlex or Hario and you will do your job very well).
As a negative aspect, many people may consider the fact that the whole process, from grinding the coffee (assuming that the grinder is manual) to washing the device's components after brewing the coffee, takes about a quarter of an hour. However, if you enjoy dealing with coffee, you will not see it as a negative. However, the portability, the fact that it does not take up any space on the kitchen counter, and the final result will justify it for you!
