I haven't been able to make it work with 3 active ports, no matter which ones they are. Whether with charging or without. The more it heats up, the more it disconnects. On the Air with type c it works better, of course, but still has the same issue.
Any combination of ports, if there are 3 or more, will disconnect one of them. Even if one of them is just the PD for charging.
Otherwise, it's lightweight, good construction, cheap compared to other similar ones, but 8-1 is not a joke.
The size is quite small considering it has 8 slots, slim and beautiful. I am using it with M2 air, I tried the USB ports and SD card slots and they work perfectly
I got it as an extension of Chromecast With Google TV and so far it fits perfectly. I was able to power the CWGTV (I bought another power supply and replaced its own) and have the apps on an SD card to expand the internal memory.
In the type C port, storage devices do not work. It is only for charging the device. To connect a type C disk, an adapter that plugs into the other ports is needed.
