The collective volume includes twenty texts based on original works in the field of violence against women and gender-based violence. In the first section, "Laws and Policies," there are works that critically examine the legislative framework for the basic forms of violence against women, as well as certain public policies for the prevention and combating of violence against women in Europe and Greece. In the second section, "Multiple Discriminations," the works approach women as social subjects subjected to different fields of power, where gender is added to categories such as class, race, ethnicity, religion, etc. The third section, "Representations and Discourse on Violence," includes works referring to public discourse and representations of gender-based violence/violence against women, as expressed in the media and various forms of art (literature, cinema, music, etc.).
