  It does not require power supply but it comes with a power adapter.
  The base is optional, if you don't want to use it (e.g. if you want to mount it on the wall).
  For me, without using the power adapter, it didn't pick up anything, but with its use, it picked up all the channels.
  A positive aspect I consider is the long cable it has. It should be about 2 meters when stretched, but I placed it at a distance of 1.80 meters from the TV and the cable still has room to go further.
  Also, smart is the placement of the power adapter near the point where it connects to the TV, which means it will draw power from there, just like the TV does, without needing any extension cord and without limiting the distance it will have from the TV, unlike other types of antennas.
