Animal husbandry is considered one of the branches of primary production with great potential for development that can contribute to the country's economic growth and reduce its trade deficit.

A prerequisite for the development of animal husbandry production is the availability of cheap and quality animal feed throughout the year. The cultivation of species that can be integrated following proper practices can contribute to increasing the availability of cheap, coarse animal feed.
