I got it to play with the cat. The cat completely ignores the laser, but plays like crazy with its keys, so I can say it does its job (attention, irony).
The light goes quite far. If you need it for a pointer, you have to unscrew the front part first, which breaks the beam and projects multiple dots as a kind of effect. With the front part unscrewed, you have one strong dot.
I tried to see if it burns if you focus the dot on your skin. It stings after about 10 seconds, but it doesn't harm you. The sting feels like a small needle prick.
Some users wrote that it broke within a few days. I have had it for over a week and it seems fine to me. If it breaks, I will come back.
October 13, 2022: It still hasn't broken, even though it has taken quite a few hits from the cat.
July 5, 2023: It still works the same as when I got it. My own cat still ignores it, but other cats go crazy for it.

So the first problem I encountered is that the battery is completely fake and claims to be 6,800mAh compared to the weight of a 2,600mAh battery. It has no weight at all because usually high-capacity batteries are very heavy, as the heavier a battery is, the more cores it has, resulting in higher capacity. Also, the maximum capacity of a 18650 battery is 3,600mAh, so it is scientifically impossible for it to be more than 3,600mAh. I put in a protected 2,600mAh Nitecore battery and it works great and is also very powerful.

Overall, as a construction, the laser is quite durable, I even tested it by setting it on fire and then washing it with water, and I have to say it didn't short circuit. Of course, when I threw it from 2 meters, after a while, one lens came off and the beam is not visible, but that is not a serious damage

Did you find this review helpful?Well, this laser is great.... just throw away the charger and its battery.... go get a charger from XSTAR and any 18650 battery up to 2500mAh............ extra tip>> unscrew the middle part of the device and instead of using a 18650 battery, you can use a 18350 battery and it becomes much more manageable to fit in your pocket and everywhere
