  After searching for a key shell for Opel Corsa D, I found this specific shell which is of superior quality compared to the genuine one because the genuine key shell is snap-on and after extensive use, gaps are created in the snaps and it opens on its own. The displayed key, apart from the snaps, also has a screw that holds the two parts of the shell together! As further protection, I also purchased a silicone cover to protect the buttons from wear and tear!

  I don't know if I made a mistake in choosing this specific case, but for Opel Astra 1400 2008, while the plate fits perfectly, the key itself does not fit. Specifically, because you only keep the blade from the old key (not the rotating base along with the blade), you have to remove a safety that holds the blade on the base and put the blade on the new base, but the hole for the safety does not align exactly with the old blade. I had to open a larger hole in the new base of the blade in order to be able to insert the safety. Other than that, it seems to be a quality construction.
