New hiking guide with a 1:25,000 map of Mount Taygetos. Taygetos forms a majestic range of peaks stretching for 70 kilometers. From the dense network of mountain trails, we have selected routes that follow in the footsteps of the pilgrims of the god Apollo or the Prophet Elijah. Paths wrapped in the imposing beauty of the mountain. Routes that borrow the convenient aspects of the relief and the gorges that historically allowed passage from one side to the other.

For each route, there is a map, an elevation profile, as well as basic information such as travel time, distance, difficulty level, vegetation, attractions, and possible connections to other trails. The guidance on the paths of Taygetos is complemented by photos and a description of the route. The evidence of the existence of the most mountainous ancient roads that crossed the Taygetos mountain range with carriages is presented by Professor Giannis Pikoulas.
