Description

The Vengeance DDR3 RAM is designed for demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in the field of video and image processing, designers, and those who require high performance from their computer.

DDR3

DDR3 is the third generation of RAM memory technology for computers. It replaces DDR2 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 800MT/s to 2133MT/s, response time (CAS Latency) from CL4 to CL19, while its capacity has increased up to 16GB per memory unit.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for response time (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above characteristics should be compatible with our motherboard specifications.

The Vengeance DDR3 provides speed at 1600MT/s, with CL9 and 4GB per memory unit.

Compatibility

The DDR3 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Specifically, DDR3 is compatible with Intel 3rd & 4th Gen, Pentium, and Celeron processors, as well as AMD FX and Phenom II processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you must ensure that your motherboard supports DDR3 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP & EXPO

The XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer's memory, without the need for manual settings. (XMP/EXPO) is easily enabled from the BIOS, is available on certain RAM memories, and is supported by certain motherboards.

The Vengeance DDR3 has (XMP 1.3) profiles with the following specifications:

  • Speed (XMP 1.3): 1600 MT/s
  • CAS Latency (XMP 1.3): 9-9-9-24
  • Voltage (XMP 1.3): 1.5V

Cooling & Design

The aluminum cooling material, with its design including fins for heat dissipation, keeps the memories at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.

The PC, made in 2011, came with a total of 8GB, 4+4. After 10 whole years, I added another 4+4 because I had issues with some applications. Currently, the PC has 16GB of Corsair DDR3 RAM.

It was purchased for an old build... 3 years ago
    It works perfectly...
Reliable construction, good performance... but outdated memory technology...
They were abandoned with the creation of a new build with DDR4

From 2014 onwards with many hours of usage. Of course, I consider RAM products to be lifelong, which you change only when they are no longer sufficient, not because they have a problem. Now I'm thinking of getting another 2 to upgrade it to 16GB.

In combination with 2 more since I had fixed the PC, now with 16GB it runs even better heavy programs like Autodesk Inventor. Quality of construction and Corsair warranty.

Corsair Vengeance: I believe we all recognize the reliability and quality of these commercial brands.
We install the memories on the PC and forget about them.
    Excellent product.

It is 1600 MHz but my system (AMD) runs them at 1333 MHz. I didn't bother with the XMP profiles of the Bios because they run just fine in Dual mode. In the other channel, however, I have Kingston PC3-12800J running at 1600 MHz in Dual mode without any Bios settings!

No problem, they work perfectly with the Kingston I had before. Just be careful with the height, as they are quite tall due to the cooler they have.

Absolutely value for money. You must go for a DDR3 8GB solution. You will see a significant difference in your system with minimal cost. XMP needs to be enabled in order to synchronize at 1600MHz, otherwise they will operate at 1333MHz, with practically negligible difference. Happy shopping!

I have them for about a year, they are incredible!!! They are 1600mhz but my mobo reads them as 1333mhz but you can easily set them to 1600mhz through the bios!!! They are very fast and efficient!!! Of course, their price is a bit high but they are definitely worth it!!!
P.S. They are quite tall and may not fit someone with a large cooler!!!

Satisfactory price-performance ratio. Lifetime warranty and Corsair quality! The only "negative" that takes away one star for me is that it runs at 1333 MHz in default settings. It requires appropriate configuration from the bios for 1600 (enabling the XMP3 profile). It's not something terrible as a process, it just might confuse the average user.

Corsair is a brand that guarantees very good quality at a good price. It has no absolute problems and looks very nice. Now, in terms of space, it fits comfortably in my PC, which has minimal space, without having to remove the cooler. It is a great choice for DDR3, I highly recommend it.

For those who have space issues, simply remove the heatsinks carefully... With a screwdriver or a knife, just lift the safety and remove them. It would be good to use a hairdryer (yes, the one for hair) as the paste is stuck on the chips. And at a reasonable temperature, don't burn yourself. The memory modules won't be affected without the heatsinks. Tested 100% for a long time. If you change your mind and want the heatsinks back, simply put them back on.

They are also at a relatively good price...

I have been operating my system with 4 modules of 4GB each for half a year now and I have no complaints!
Advantages: Corsair always rushes to replace something if it breaks, the best cards in their category.
Disadvantages: It does not harm the rating score, but it is old technology so it has lower speed :( do not expect the maximum in all games if you are gamers.

The best Dimmakia on the market in this specific technology/category, so do not hesitate to buy this product! If you want something better, go for DDR4!

This company simply does not exist. I accidentally burned my own RAM and they immediately replaced them without any questions. I only paid 3 Euros for the shipping (Netherlands). I have had them for 5 years now. I just ordered two more! Gonna make it 16GB :)

Corsair is the best, it never gave me any errors. The only thing you need to be careful about is their height, don't have a problem with large coolers like I did and had to change them within 3 months. I highly recommend them

corsair doesn't need me to say anything else! I have had them for 2 years and they still work. Just be careful if you use them with an air cooler on the processor because they are tall and may not fit. I have them with liquid cooling and I have no issues.

    cooling
    design
    lifetime warranty

    I didn't like:

Very good memories can accept light overclocking at 1.6V.
(About 1650MHz I have 4x4GB and obviously they can't go higher..)

They have been working perfectly for 4 years.
