  Seemingly it's OK but when the AirTag gets detached while you have the keychain with you, it will disappoint you. It happened to me in a parking lot where I left the keys with the valet and the AirTag fell off the keychain. Generally, the AirTag easily comes off the keychain. Get something else that is tighter.

  After 6 months of light use on car keys, it broke exactly where the company logo is (expected as the material is very thin at that point, something I didn't pay much attention to at first).
  It is also relatively easy for the airtag to come out of its case...
  Unfortunately, I would not recommend it as the likelihood of scanning for the airtag without the keys is high.

  It leaves the back exposed so if someone is compulsive and can't stand scratches, it's not for them.
  I would like the elastic a bit tighter, but if you don't play rough with your keychain, I don't think the AirTag will come off.
