Before this one, we had bought a more expensive one, mainly made of silicone, which didn't work at all. The reasons are two: - It had a conical shape, so it was tight at the bottom, making cleaning difficult. - Silicone is quite soft and flexible, which again made cleaning difficult. The only complaint about this one is the central plastic stem. This is for removing the filter to clean it. It has 2 positions, up and all the way down, controlled by half a rotation of the plastic. The issue is that it is so sensitive that it doesn't stay upright for long. As soon as water with pressure goes in, it falls. If it falls, yes, it makes it more discreet, but to pull it up, you have to put your hand inside the drain. I glued it with epoxy in the upright position and the problem was solved.
