First of all, I am writing this review to compare the old version of the mouse with the new one, which is the Hero.
I had in my possession for a full 8 years the unbeatable "G502" mouse that still works, although the sensor is not like new anymore. I decided not to take many risks and to get the same mouse (as presented to us by Logitech) with the same shape, same feel, almost the same name, etc. Also, the price was very affordable. 45-50 euros for such a mouse, you rush to get it. But in the end, it was not as "Logitech" told us.
The two mice are almost the same in hand. You don't feel differences, but the huge difference is in the quality of the buttons. The left and right clicks feel like you bought a 5-euro mouse compared to the old mouse. In the old one, the click of the buttons was instantaneous, simple, without noise, and without a large gap. In the new one, you feel that the gap is much larger, the force of the finger is 3 times more, which creates pain at least in my fingers, and especially in the right click, you think that a spring will come out from underneath. You feel all the vibrations of the pressure, and the distance of the press is 2 times more compared to the old one. "Logitech" decided to deceive its customers in this way by giving an "identical" mouse to the old one, but it was only identical in name.
The other negative is the cable, as many have mentioned. The old one had a thick, beautiful cable that externally had an extra coating from cloth and looked very premium. The new one has a very thin cable that, if you’re not careful, will break.
This review refers to the differences between the old and new mouse and not generally. At 50 euros, it is an okay mouse for a casual user, but definitely not for gaming or for heavy work on the PC. I would much rather they charged 80-90 euros and it was of the same quality as the old one, which is unbeatable (even for Logitech itself) than to sell us a cheap mouse taking advantage of the old name. Many companies have raised the bar themselves and over time are offering us worse products than before, not better. This is true for almost everything: phones, keyboards, speakers, etc.

Very good mouse replaced the G402 I had before. Be careful with the cable, it is quite thin and can easily be damaged, as happened to me with the G402. One solution is to wrap a little electrical tape around both ends of the cable to make it more durable. I do this with several devices, especially with mobile chargers.

- Sufficient customization through the application. It can recognize the application you are using and create profiles specifically for it. For example, in Chrome, I have set the upper left buttons to switch tabs and the sniper button to close tabs.
- It has a nice grip in the hand.
- Good weight.
- Many buttons to do your work.
- Tremendous accuracy in movement and acceleration. I have DPI around 6500, max you can work with 8-9k DPI, anything higher is just crazy.
- The scroll wheel is "heavy" and has a nice feel when turning. It's positive that you can "unlock" it so it can turn freely without stops. Also, the tilt feature is positive.Negatives:
- I don't like the cable at all, it looks very cheap and I predict it will break soon. The plastic that is supposed to secure the cable on the mouse side is not good, resulting in the cable getting cut at some point. I saw in older models they had a different cable in photos.
- The sound that the upper left buttons make when you lift and touch the mouse below bothers me. It's my own bad habit, but it makes an annoying sound like a spring. It's logical since it's quite difficult for the manufacturer to position them properly, but it's annoying to hear it.Conclusion: For demanding use, it is an ideal choice as it has tremendous accuracy and many buttons to customize. It was purchased for €48, which I consider a good price. Obviously, you can do your work with half the money.

Owner of this product since 2019, completely satisfied all these years, comfortable mouse, light in my hand, and with many convenient functions on its buttons.
As for the negatives, some rubber surfaces started to wear out over time to the point where they completely came off the mouse, leaving a big gap. And finally, after so many years of use, it started to give me issues with double clicks at first and then it started clicking on its own. I investigated the problem and found out that one of the sensors inside the mouse was damaged, even though the mouse didn't receive any hits or anything to cause such damage (disappointed here with its sensitivity).

First and last time in my life that I buy a Logitech product. I always bought Razer peripherals and I decided last year to switch to Logitech because I experienced something similar. I saw good reviews for this specific mouse. After 13 months of use, the USB got damaged. While none of my other products have ever experienced something similar. I take care of all my products like they are my own eyes. I went for service at the authorized service center because it has a two-year warranty and they even told me that 9 out of 10 cases are the customer's fault... so it's not worth risking and sending it for inspection to the main center and waiting 10 days for a response and possibly getting rejected... and also having to pay inspection fees... disgraceful. From start to finish. Razer is not perfect, but in all the time I've had it, the USB has never broken. Neither have other brands, even cheaper mice for 20€. Shame. Consider that I did market research a month ago for a keyboard and I wanted Logitech again because I didn't know what to expect... and luckily I ended up with the Razer huntsman v2. And I'm very satisfied. But why didn't I choose Logitech? Because even in their keyboards, users everywhere were saying that the buttons break within 3 months!!! Or the keys from use or even the color... meaning the company uses very low-quality materials. That's all from me.

Absolutely the best mouse I've ever had.
I have had it for 1 and a half years and it is still going strong. the only tear it's the dirt that it has accumulated and some tears on the side plastic caused by my fingers. It comes with weights that are really convenient and help you customize your mouse.
The LED is nice but nothing special.
After so much use, playing csgo, LOL, Squad and other games it has stood the test of time. When this mouse gives up. I will buy the same mouse.

If u dont have huge budget but u need a high quality mouse for ur gaming or ur work. Well Logitech gave us this mouse. I had lobg time ago from a friend even if they change the cable to plastic it really depends how u use it. I dont believe a polite use would destroy the cable. Well if u spin it from it probably it will be destroyed but who does that to ur gaming mouse?. Anyway i use it to play both rpg and moba games sometimes competitively. Is a mouse will last long for its money and believe its worth it than buying something twice the price only for the image that will be destroyed or feel uncomfy fast to be replaced. :) I dont know much about its technical parts of it but tried it for long time before from playing games in net shops for many years. Since a shop with so many computers has it and they get highly used and abused from thousands of people everyday yet the mouse works fine after this many years still holds its price. Then i belive is high recommend for anyone that doesnt want to spend much to fix his gaming set (not only) and the quality of it worth way more.
