This book describes the process of Environmental Impact Assessment for public and private projects followed in Greece. It is aimed at experienced Environmental Impact Assessors, but mainly at future assessors, students of relevant departments of our country's universities. It takes the form of a teaching manual, with exercises, assignments, and questions. Briefly, it includes:

• Extensive description of international practices of Environmental Impact Assessment, as well as European and Greek legislation.
• Presentation of the method of controlling the siting of a project in a specific location.
• Presentation of the methodologies for determining and assessing the magnitude of the potential impacts of a new project on the environment.
• Description of the potential impacts from air emissions, noise emissions, electromagnetic radiation, and the production of liquid and solid waste.
• For each impact, presentation of possible measures, conditions, and restrictions to prevent or mitigate the impacts.
• Detailed description of the contents of the Environmental Impact Assessment and the Special Ecological Assessment.
