Well, this specific jacket is quite lightweight but it does the job just fine.
Pros:
4 years of use on hunting trips...no holes, scratches, or tears anywhere (it has been through tough use)
Lightweight, windproof, (waterproof as well) and the zippers and buttons haven't broken.

Cons:
From the first moment, the lining of the inner chest pockets opened for me...it didn't affect me since I always wear a hunting vest.
The fabric, although it doesn't tear or let water through, it retains water on top, it doesn't dry quickly...so it gets heavy and you can't get into a car while soaked, you have to take it off...

Conclusion: I would definitely buy it again since it does 95% of the job (tested), but I would look for a fabric that is more water-repellent so that the water can slide off.
