Description
Whistle without the use of a pea. It offers a clear, piercing vibrato whistle without "jamming" and "gaps".
A whistle with a pea creates sound from the movement of the small cork pea inside, alternately closing and opening the hole where the air escapes. This process produces a rapid alternation of sound and silence, the characteristic "vibrato" whistle – until the pea gets stuck in the hole.
The FOX40 pea-less whistle is more like a harmonic instrument, as it produces 3 slightly different frequencies simultaneously. The different frequencies are layered on top of each other, thus alternating and canceling each other out. The result is a loud, piercing vibrato whistle that has no moving parts inside to get stuck. The whistle is plastic molded and produced using injection molding.
