Albainox machete with wooden handle & sheath.

I have had this particular machete for quite some time. It is the third one I have, so I can now speak from my experience.
Positives:
- The geometry of the blade (which is hollow grind) combined with the size of the handle greatly helps with handling. You hold it high for thick branches and low for twigs.
Negatives:
- The wood of the handle is smooth and extremely painful to use because it is squared off. I had to take it off, file it down to make proper grips, put thick fabric inside for shock absorption, and only then did it sit properly and securely in my hand without hurting every time I cut a thick branch or worrying that it would slip from my hand.
- The sheath is terrible. Closures that do not open easily, but okay, let's overlook that. The bad thing is that it DOES NOT secure to a belt. It DOES NOT have such a fitting. It has a fabric strap on the back, and I assume you put it on your back? ...like a ninja? It is incredibly annoying to have to carry it in my bag and go through a whole process to draw and sheath it every time I use it.
- I could overlook/forgive all of the above and give it 3-4 stars, but the truly tragic thing is that the blade is pure sheet metal. There is not a chance in a million that it has gone through heat treatment. It has warped in many places along the edge, while the machete itself has also bent somewhere in the middle, and all this without me abusing it. The right machete is made by ergonomics and metal. And this is poor in both. Unacceptable.
