Deep down, Lucy knows: the invitation she holds in her hands is not innocent at all. Her rival, Elodie de Ritsmond, invites her to the "Tournament of the Thousand Chosen" - a competition aimed at showcasing the best perfumers in the world. In reality, it is an attempt by Elodie to discover talented Sentifleurs and have them work in her perfumeries. Lucy has no other choice: she goes to England to take part in the contest. With her are Mats, Leon, and Dan de Bran. But soon the game turns into a fight for survival and Lucy risks losing everything she ever loved.
