The book is addressed to those who want to engage in amateur or professional cultivation of aromatic and medicinal plants, their processing, and the production of essential oils.

The first part of the book discusses the general principles of cultivation of aromatic and medicinal plants and develops methods of extracting essential oils from these plants. Topics related to cultivation care, seed propagation, soil preparation, fertilization, propagation methods, weed and disease control, irrigation, harvesting, drying, etc. are developed.

The second part follows with the specific description of plants that are of interest in Greece and presents ways to utilize the native plants of the Greek flora.
