The names of the settlements in Thrace, based on religious names, for which a study has been conducted, as well as the present one with the botanical names, provide the opportunity for the reader, as well as the researcher, to acquire or add knowledge, not only about Thrace, but also about the entire current geographical area.

The percentage of settlements is small compared to other geographical regions, as it mainly concerns Western Thrace, which had as its center of gravity the now lost Constantinople, with Eastern and Bulgarian Thrace.

This work serves history, topogeography with the environment, but also archaeology, or our overall culture.
