Description

Greece of dreams suggests us to read our collective psychological life with reference to symbols and attitudes, as they emerge in dreams and are shaped by emotions. As representations of desire and anxiety, dreams borrow forms from the surrounding atmosphere to bind them, through imagination, to their own stories and behaviors. Therefore, very often, we dream of reality instead of experiencing it tangibly. Thus, the conditions for the production of dreams and dream interpretations are created, which the mechanisms of social inertia (but also of totalitarianism) intensively exploit for their benefit. However, by unraveling the connecting thread of dream forms and imagination, we can explain the long-term prevalence of inertia in a society like ours and at the same time trace signs that lead to the dawn of change.
