  I had the monitors on my desk like plebs, a tremendous purchase, a game changer. The Yamaha HS5, having a 5" woofer, doesn't have good bass response, and I had them very close to the wall, so I was losing a lot in sound quality. Now, the speakers have space thanks to the stands. They also have two strips with felt to prevent the speakers from slipping. The only negative thing I believe is that the height adjustment is only done at specific points.

  I would recommend them 100% to someone who is getting their first studio monitors or to someone who wants a good stand for their speakers.

  Edit: In the end, the hinges it has can hold the speakers in any position you want, without being limited by the holes of the stands, at least for the Yamaha HS5, which are small and lightweight speakers.
