  While everything works fine in terms of motion detection at night, the mobile application does not send any notifications, so I have to check by myself the next morning what it recorded, which makes it useless. If you search a bit on the internet, you will find that the Xiaomi Home application has a problem with push notifications on many devices outside of China and it has been unresolved for years. It might work on an old mobile phone, I don't know, but mine is relatively new and I have encountered this issue. In my opinion, stay away from it.

  45 minutes and still hasn't managed to scan the QR code from the application for installation! Unacceptable! Last year it took me 40 minutes, this year I changed my phone and it's even worse. 45 minutes and I gave up. Don't get it if you don't want to waste your time.
  EDIT: The solution is that with AMOLED screens (e.g. Samsung like mine), it DOES NOT scan the QR code. Print it on paper and scan it from there immediately! Ridiculous!

It scanned the QR code immediately and the installation was done quickly in 3 steps. The image quality is satisfactory during the day, but obviously the quality decreases significantly in the dark since it uses infrared. My biggest problem is the notifications! I have never received a single notification!! I missed a trip abroad, thieves entered my house, and I only found out by chance after 3 days when I opened the app. I have a Huawei P30 Pro while my wife has a RealMe and she receives notifications normally. Therefore, I would recommend thoroughly researching compatibility issues before purchasing it.

  You cannot download the recorded videos to your mobile phone. It saves them to the memory card and essentially locks them there. So, it records to the card, you choose to save a video, the camera locks it and saves it to the memory card, and once the card is full and starts recording from the beginning, it skips over the locked video.
