The correct definitions of measurement scales and the tests of reliability and validity are fundamental issues, and in the book they are developed in a simple and tangible way, allowing to understand the purpose of these tests and how they affect the creation of statistical models for interpreting behavior. The importance of using basic concepts correctly in the construction of statistical models for interpreting behavior is also emphasized, which are adapted to empirical research data.

Various categories of applications of Structural Equation Models, which are encountered in the literature studying behavior, are also described. Lisrel 8.80 and PASW Statistics 18 are used. The reader is given the opportunity to understand how Structural Equation Models work, what are the important commands of Lisrel for calculating the models, and what are the most important applications and techniques mentioned in the literature.

The author uses a running example, which is described in stages, depending on the chapter and section of the book. Thus, the theory is developed in parallel with the example and becomes better understood.
