For those who are too lazy to read a long review:
Pros: Affordable, you won't find better at this price (12 euros for me), good packaging and construction (for the price). Easy connection, plug and play, no extra setup required. Can be connected to PC, Android, and PS3 according to the packaging.
Cons: Strange distance from the start and select buttons (compared to Xbox 360, PS3), the top triggers stick out a bit more, vibration is decent for 12 euros but won't give you a realistic feel of explosions or weapon feedback. Personally, the cons don't bother me, that's why I gave it 5 stars, but I'm mentioning them so you know.
Good evening to everyone. I ordered this controller after reading several reviews here during the New Year. Its price was 12 euros with shipping, using a card. For its price, it's the best non-brand controller I've ever had, compared to PlayStation or Xbox controllers that have passed through my hands. First, let me talk about the packaging. As soon as I opened the box and saw it, I thought I had bought a 40 euro controller. It looks very similar to the packaging of the Razer company's mice, which has a glossy photo of the purchased item on the outside and gives you a premium feel. So, a big bravo because people like me pay attention to it. Imagine the packaging of the Xbox 360 controller I had bought before, it was worse. Inside, the packaging contains a CD for installation (for those who have a CD player on their computer, because I didn't), a very small manual, and of course, the controller. As soon as I held it in my hands, I realized that it is very lightweight and of low quality, but it surpasses the quality of other OEM controllers I have bought in the past. You don't feel like you're holding something that costs 12 euros, but at least 25. The left and right analog sticks are quite small to the touch, which I noticed immediately coming from the Xbox 360, but their quality seems like it will last for years. The back triggers, especially the top ones, are very light to press, but one negative is that they stick out a bit more than they should (again, comparing them to the PS3 and Xbox 360). Some people might find this annoying, but I think it's a matter of getting used to it and not something problematic. The bottom triggers are soft as I was used to, and they protrude as they should. The start and select buttons are placed a bit strangely, meaning that when you're playing and want to press start to pause, you have to go a few millimeters further compared to the PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers, but I believe I will get used to it over time. As for construction, it is an extremely lightweight controller, so I'm a bit worried it might break easily, so be careful if you decide to buy it. Apart from that, I wanted to mention that it fit perfectly in my hand from the first time, meaning that in terms of size, it's like the Xbox 360 controller and sits perfectly in the hand. One negative for those considering vibration. Unfortunately, it lacks in that aspect (generally speaking, it's fine for 12 euros), meaning that when I opened an FPS game that I was playing single-player and used the sniper or when something exploded next to me, I didn't have as intense of a reaction as with the Xbox 360 controller. It has vibration, but it's not as strong. So, those of you who want good vibration, think about it. Now about the connection, I simply plugged it in through the 3.0 port of my unit and immediately Windows 10 recognized it as an Xbox 360 controller (I don't know how or why) and it played straight away as soon as I plugged it in without any settings. I didn't even use the CD that came with the package. In conclusion, I recommend it for: 1) People who want something durable (with proper use, not rough handling) for a long time. 2) People who want to have the best possible controller for only 12 euros. 3) As a gift for a nephew, child, or partner.
I do not recommend it for anyone who presses the buttons with force and generally has a more dynamic use with the controller. Generally, for anyone who is careless.
I hope I helped you, happy shopping. Have a healthy year.
The left analog stick started drifting within the first month of use. The joystick seems to constantly move to the right in a joystick tester. It's a shame because it was so good for its price at the beginning!
I have thrown it so many times on the floor out of frustration while playing FIFA and it hasn't suffered any damage. For its price, it is a very good controller.
For 3 years now, with almost daily and extensive use, it hasn't suffered the slightest damage, the letters have barely faded, which is unbelievable. Overall, Roar has impressed me in the field of controllers, I highly recommend it.
I don't often play games that require a controller and this one was perfect for what I wanted at its price
2 days of ownership, the quality of construction is fine. It will show over time, I will come back after regular use.
For the 10 euros it costs, and for how well it works, it's a miracle. If you want something more premium, why are you buying a controller for 10 euros? Go for the PS5 or Xbox.
Overall not a bad controller its would have had a higher rating if the material was a bit more heavier . I would buy it again its cheap ,it has a vibration feature and its better than any other controller with the same price
Very good for its price and for the use I make of it (I use it as a buzzer and practically only use the buttons on the right and no left joystick). I would buy it again.
I tried it on a Mac. I had difficulty understanding why it didn't work at first, but then I read in the instructions that I had to press the home button for a few seconds until all the lights lit up, not just half of them. I'm writing this so that others don't have to search for the same problem.
I have been using it on my PC for a few days and so far it has not presented any issues. The entire range of motion of the analog sticks is recognizable and with an extremely high degree of accuracy, unlike other controllers in the same price range that I have used, where I give a command and the direction is different.
One year of use in competitive games with long hours of use is truly incredible how durable it is. I broke it due to ea24 and it goes without saying that I will buy the same again.
I bought it on January 5th for Christmas and I have to say that it's worth every penny. It arrived within 3 days and it works extremely well for its price. Everyone should buy it and you will remember me!
Quite good value for money. I would give it a 5/5 rating, but I had a lot of difficulty with the installation. And sometimes it doesn't recognize it, I had to reinstall it. Once these issues are resolved, it works perfectly. I would choose it again.
A very good controller for its price, it's perfect. I bought it for 10€ and I've had it for a year. I play Tekken and pro and the only negative thing is that the select button got stuck. Other than that, it's great.
It could be very good, but it has compatibility issues so it remembers it. If it wasn't for this issue, it would be a 5/5 because as a handle, feeling, buttons, especially scandals but also vibration, it's great. But I believe it's the grip and the scandals that win
the right thumbstick is a tiny bit lower than the left, came like this straight out of the box, other than that. pretty good controller, VFM for 12€, so far only tested it on android.
For the money, it's relatively good, just know that after a year of use, you will need to get another one because the analog sticks start sticking. I have already changed it twice
Purchase for ps3, not used much yet but shows quality, light in hand. The joysticks and R/L buttons have a good feel. In relation to its price, it is currently the best choice. I hope it will withstand the test of time. +price, weight, grip/quality feel, ergonomics (the buttons are exactly where they are on Sony) -button pressing, lacks extra features (e.g. auto fire)
After two months, it started to have a huge drifting issue. And suddenly, one day it was working fine, but the next day practically unusable without any drops or hits.
For this price, obviously I didn't expect good quality, but at least I wanted a product that would fake-work
After a year, the drifting started.. okay, it's a 15 euro controller, no one expects anything, but now sometimes it doesn't even work and needs to be reconnected. Also, the input method change is a mess
It definitely does its job. However, it is not for very demanding users. I have it as a second controller for my computer and I mainly use it for Fifa with a second person. For the intended use, it is decent
Neither did it take a month to start drifting on the left analog stick, and from the first day, pressing left on the directional pad is almost always registered as pressing down.
As for the trick to clean the stick with alcohol and a cotton swab, it doesn't work
I have had it in my possession for over a year and it works perfectly! The buttons are analog, but not as good as on an Xbox or PlayStation controller, which is perfectly reasonable at this price (initially, I didn't expect them to be analog at all). It has never disconnected or had any glitches. I use it on a PC with Windows 11, playing Rocket League, GTA, Need for Speed, etc. Additionally, I have had the chance to connect it to my mobile and play Fortnite, and it feels like I have a console! Very good for the money and definitely an accessory that every PC needs!
I use it on my PC and it's perfect. Sometimes, in games, it doesn't recognize it and you have to change the USB port
I had underestimated it, but buying another one at double the price and comparing them, I can say that there is no significant difference in ASPHALT 9 LEGENDS. Very good controller. I am returning the 2 stars that I had deducted from it.
I bought two for my PC. Quite comfortable without any recognition issues with Windows. It's worth its money.
For the money, it is worth it fully. Do not have high expectations for this amount. For anyone who wants something economical, it is just right
The directional pad does not always make good contact, it requires more pressure to prevent the movement command from being interrupted. For some old-school users who prefer the D-pad over the analog stick, this may be a significant disadvantage.
In digital mode, the buttons are shuffled and there is no possibility of remapping, making it useless. The analog mode works fine and is recognized by all games (I have tested it on 10 games so far, some of which were released many years ago, and it is still compatible).
For its price and for simple use, it is excellent. I have been using it for almost a month now, almost every day, and I haven't encountered any problems. Don't expect amazing quality for a 10-dollar product, but it does its job flawlessly.
Simple controller, good value for money. WARNING it is not suitable for racing games, I emphasize this because the RT and LT triggers (R2 - L2) are not analog.
Personally, I didn't expect anything from a 10 euro controller, but I was amazed. As soon as I held it in my hands, I felt that it is one of the best controllers I have ever touched in terms of grip and geometry. Furthermore, I tested it using the Windows tool and also in games, and I realized that it has excellent responsiveness. The only thing I cannot comment on is its durability, as it is the first day I have it in my possession. If anything comes up, I will inform you. I bought it along with the Esperanza Major, for which I will also write a review, and it satisfies me more than the Esperanza, which costs +20 euros.
Well, after testing it on several games and considering most of the reviews that said it is plug and play, I can say that this is NOT TRUE for Windows 11. It has a connectivity issue, even though the computer recognizes that it is connected to the USB, something goes wrong and it freezes. The solution is to unplug and plug the gamepad in the USB port multiple times until it unlocks. Specifically, I have had to change all the ports in order for it to unlock after 8 times.
Both gamepads have the same problem because I bought 2 and not just 1. So, it means that the problem is general and I didn't just get a faulty controller.
As for the buttons and the quality, I can say that for the money, it is excellent. Sometimes, it only showed the drifting phenomenon, which was fixed by reconnecting it to the USB port. Overall, all the problems I found are only connectivity issues on a computer with Windows 11.
I hope it's a driver problem and they fix it in the future
