The linguistic approach contributes to a better understanding of the theatrical text, as it allows the reader to comprehend the "grammar" of this specific genre, as well as the functionality of linguistic choices regarding the creation of characters/identities and the development of a plot.

It examines various crucial aspects of the theatrical text, concerning both textual (coherence, consistency) and pragmatic dimensions (environment, politeness/impoliteness). Additionally, emphasis is placed on the computational analysis of theatrical texts through the most frequent statistical words as a reflection of the linguistic choices made by the playwright.
