Unfortunately, although it works very well on electricity and also appears ergonomic (the lid opens/closes very easily and it fits easily on the base), its handle, although plastic, gets extremely hot. And I mean so hot to the point of burning. We're not talking about just warm or very warm. You can't hold it for more than 2 seconds. It should be noted that this happened during the second time my mother used it to boil water for tea after me. So it had already been preheated, I assume, and in the second use, the climax obviously occurred.
The problem I found is with the steam that passes through the hollow part of the handle when the water reaches boiling point. And from the second time onwards. You see, the steam escapes through the small gaps in the button (where it can burn you, right? Because that's where you would go to lift it). Which makes you wonder how long its lifespan will be if the hot steam passes through the circuit of the button!! It also makes a lot of noise. It's completely useless if someone is sleeping at night. I have another metallic kettle and I have never had any issues with it in the 4-5 years that I have owned it...
I do not recommend it.
(update: today it stopped working. Its lifespan was 1 year and 10 months)
I hope I helped.
