Description

The fourth edition of the work "Competition Law" is enriched with chapters on "business concentrations" and the issues surrounding "state intervention in competition". Additionally, the work includes updated case law and bibliographic sections on "prohibition of horizontal agreements", "vertical agreements", and "prohibition of abuse of dominant position". Thus, it covers all the basic aspects of this law, which is not a common branch of law; it constitutes the Magna Carta of economic freedom and free entrepreneurial action, regulating the rules of the market game and the framework of the rights and obligations of businesses. Therefore, the Appendix includes the basic legislation regulating competition in Greece, the EU, the USA, the UK, Germany, and France.

The complex "specifications" of competition law make it difficult to understand its subject matter, so in this edition, an effort has been made to make it more accessible to the user by using visual aids (tables-diagrams). Special assistance is provided by the numerous practical cases (included from case law and the practice of Competition Authorities), which will help consolidate knowledge.

The work is a valuable tool for both the lawyer who wants to study the institution of competition as the central organizational authority of the economy and understand the deeper essence of economic development, as well as for the student who wants to meet his teaching needs and sharpen his critical ability.
